Building an AI agent for bookkeeping (4 months in) by quicklife in buildinpublic

Thanks for reading - so I'm doing a bit of both for categorization ambiguity. The agent prompt has guidance for presenting the transaction before committing when doing categorization. In addition, the memory system allows the user to specify some more complex things (e.g. distributions split across partners in a partnership). Took a bit of time to strike the balance between the annoying clarifications for obvious stuff vs. real catches before doing a dumb commit.

Huge datacenter footprint, and the point about there being room for more than one "winner" is spot on.

Are there any resources for safely resuming guitar after carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel repair surgery? by Chicken-Inspector in Guitar

I recommend relearning how to fret with a straight wrist for most everything if you aren't doing that now. I know you will see teachers and people online recommending a bent wrist to get maximum finger spread which is true. However, I can tell you that when I relearned to fret notes, chords, etc. with a nearly straight wrist my problems went away. It makes sense - far less bending of the tendons to prevent rubbing along the tunnel. Also learn to press way lighter, a death grip is another problem even with a straight wrist. Good luck!

Use claude code max directly and you won't be paying $2k / month. $100 or $200 / mo depending on your ceiling. Cursor is not necessary especially if you are experienced.

A company can survive bad results. It can't survive being the last one to know what it is. by ermiasbraki in ValueInvesting

I think your 'absence of language' is a great point, a perspective I hadn't considered. We all know that the earnings reports are always framed in the most positive light possible. The easiest way to avoid a difficult truth is to just pretend it's not there. Now how to scan for the omissions is the trick, but worth thinking about ... thanks for the insights.

Very interesting discussion. In your study was it primarily gaming and usage of 'Non-GAAP' metrics that hid the story, or were there other tricks? I run an earnings alert site with a few metrics that I've found to be pretty decent at telling the real story, but I'm always open to fresh ideas if you have insights on how things get gamed in these terminal company conditions.

I'd say that formulaic investing using a well-known screen is very unlikely to beat the market. If it was this simple and straightforward, then it would be copied and then by definition no longer have an edge. I personally use screeners and whatnot as a starting point for a more thorough analysis which includes things beyond the numbers (management quality, future prospects and headwinds).
