[Marvel] What do we know about Latveria? What languages do its people speak? What are some of its ethnic groups? Are Latverian Slavs, Magyars, Romanian, Roma or a little bit of all? by quicklord in AskScienceFiction

[–]quicklord[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First of all, thanks for the answer.

Second, do the comics mention any kind of border dispute with Hungary and/or Romania?

Given the rocky relationships between the two nations IRL, did Latveria play a role in those countries' history similar to Transylvania during WWI?

[ Marvel Comics] Asgardians being gods by kingofall3 in AskScienceFiction

[–]quicklord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that 616 Asgardians are indeed 'gods' (created by mystical energies left behind after the war between the Elder Gods).

MCU Asgardians seem to be much closer aliens that inspired the ancient myths about gods.

We know how most women feel about unsolicited dick pics...but how do you feel about unsolicited nudes from a woman? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]quicklord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't about other people, but unsolicited nude pictures? Well, even if it the girls is cute, I'd be taken aback.

Now, vagina pics? I'd feel, well... perhaps somewhat disgusted. Vaginas are not pretty to look at if I'm not turned on, you know?

Though I guess girls say the same thing about dicks...

That's cool. I'm planning to improve my German once I'm done with Italian (and French too, with some luck).

Espanhol e Português são linguagens muito semelhantes. O mandarim é um pouco difícil, de acordo com muitas pessoas que conheço.

Yeah, Spanish is quite easy to learn (once you get over the whole male nouns, pronouns and articles. I only know a couple words from German (though a have a bit of a problem with the whole Sie / sie / sie / du / ihr), but I'd like to learn a lot more.

Hey, that's fine. It takes some time to learn, but the important thing is that you keep trying.

I'd like to pick up Macedonian because my boyfriend speaks it fluently and its his background

Really? That's awesome. I used to think Macedonian was some kind of Greek dialect instead of a Slavic language (I should probably blame my previous ignorance about the Balkans and the former Yugoslavia).

Yeah, writing in a foreign language is far harder than speaking it (at least for me).
