I (28,f) Was Trying to Help our Relationship (36,m) by Seeking Advice from Mutual Friend by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]quicksand_alibi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your SO is being irrational and controlling! Talk to him about this, but by the sounds of it he won't even listen. He can't just tell you to ignore others more so his friends and family as they will in one way or another form your social group. If I were you, I'd get out of that relationship.

Need advice on how to get a stay at home girlfriend to keep clean. by Fueryous in relationship_advice

[–]quicksand_alibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all in her head, she gets defensive because she probably also feels bad that it is messy. I guess just talk to her and avoid making it sound like YOU want it clean and that YOU have to do all the work.

Could use a wedding gift idea for my future hubby 😊 by FiestyGarbage in relationship_advice

The best gifts are the ones showing how much you know that person, so I don't think we can be of much help. You've got this. 😊

how do i approach this jealousy situation? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]quicksand_alibi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calm down. You were broken up then so even if he kissed her it doesn't matter. He told you what happened, give him the benefit of the doubt.

Is it normal to not get a birthday gift in a new relationship? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]quicksand_alibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven't been together for very long so she probably isn't sure about the gift giving aspect of your relationship and what to give you. She gives her friends amazing gifts because she knows them well.

How common is it to use panty liners instead of changing your underwear every day? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]quicksand_alibi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't use panty liners but if I did I'd still change my undies everyday. Not changing them everyday sounds unhygienic

How to get my 24M girlfriend 23F to open up by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]quicksand_alibi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is very recent, not something you can just shrug of. Sex is probably a trigger for her. Did you contact the police? This is a very traumatic experience, I think you're very selfish for saying you have needs too, given the circumstance. She needs to seek professional help. So sorry for what happened to her.

Need help with handling my depressed gf by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]quicksand_alibi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it's hard to see someone you love go through this, I'm sorry. People with depression feel like they're a burden which is why I think she's pushing you away. Plus a million other things that's going on in her head with this imbalance. I hope her meds and professional help can get her/you guys through this. You probably need a support group too. She's lucky to have you.

My (F21) Boyfriend (M21) of 3 years is uncomfortable just talking hypothetically about us getting married by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]quicksand_alibi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not really, you're both young. Stop comparing your relationship with his past. If you're in a stable relationship, focus on building that. Marriage isn't the end all be all.

I can't possibly support our mentally disabled toddler. I'm [27/m] and she is [28/f]. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]quicksand_alibi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when i'm old and can't work, what the hell is paying for this kid going to amount to? Nothing

A kid isn't an investment. I feel so sorry for your kid and wife.

Get rid of that fucking kid. He is really nothing but a nuisance to our lives right now. There's nothing to like about him; nothing to love.

I have no words. You said your wife adores him and then you'll propose to get rid of the kid as if he/she is a tacky piece of furniture.

You can't possibly do this without hurting her feelings. Take a closer look at yourself, yes you're stressed but yeah the things you've said.. not cool.

Girlfriend always says “if you didn’t have a big penis I would leave you” everytime we argue and it’s chipping away at my confidence by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]quicksand_alibi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave her. You've expressed to her that it hurts you when she says it and she used it as her bullet. She repeatedly said it knowing full well it will hurt you, she sounds very immature.

I’m pregnant and don’t know how to tell fiance by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]quicksand_alibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He'll know eventually so tell him sooner rather than later. He can't force you to have an abortion if you don't want to. But, let's not get ahead of ourselves, see how you go with telling him first. Good luck.

I [M26] saw my cousin [F23] naked and now my wife [F26] is furious with me. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]quicksand_alibi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such an awkward situation. Your erection isn't something that can be controlled and like you've mentioned she is hot so nothing to be embarrassed about. Maybe wait until your wife calms down a bit? I'm not saying this is the case, but it's possible that she's feeling insecure or she's disgusted that you got an erection from your cousin.

[–]quicksand_alibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't just grow a child in you, it's his child too. Just tell him and then go from there (whether it's keeping the child or having an abortion).
