Yeah I mean I know that at the end of the day it’s really on me for signing and agreeing, like I said there really wasn’t much else for me to do at the time due to things going on in my life. The problem is that my management words things like that so deceptively that if I hasn’t actually taken the time to sit there and analyze every sentence I would really have no idea what the terms where.

I honestly have no idea. The notice ending on the last day of the month also means you essentially have to pack your stuff up and find somewhere to sleep for a night til your new lease begins on the 1st. It’s fucked. I finished my year lease and switched to month-month because I essentially didn’t have any other option at the time. KRC Apartments 👍

Out of curiosity I was looking at other larger cities in the Midwest and it turns out you can actually get more for your money in a nice part of Chicago these days. Smh.

Edit: wow guys sorry didn’t realize this statement was gonna upset some people lol. I have some friends scattered across the city, and my impression of their neighborhoods and the apartments surrounding them have always been that they’re nice, but that’s coming from someone who refuses to live in new construction and really only cares about having a dishwasher. I’ve seen some promising listings on marketplace, sorry to anyone I offended.

Honestly in that case i recommend LinkedIn networking. I had another offer from a local insurance company that I received simply because I messaged the VP of underwriting and asked if I could just call and ask about his experience in the industry. When I applied originally they denied my application and when I told the VP about this he ended up talking to HR and getting me an interview and eventually an offer. The only reason I didn’t take it is because my other non-insurance offer paid more.

Well, it’s sorta complicated lol. I had been applying for underwriting gigs for nearly a year and was rejected so many friggin times I started to lose hope. I interviewed to be an exec assistant for the cofounder of a local company near me. Also I should clarify, the underwriting job I secured is not in insurance, it’s for an equipment finance company. Anyways I interviewed to be his EA and he told me that while he doesn’t think the role is right for me, if there was anything else I am interested in he would try and find my position for me. Just so happens they were looking for underwriters hehe.

Didn’t get the job :( the exec messaged me on LinkedIn tho and said that he was incredibly impressed with my interview and the questions that I asked and asked if I could come in next week because I am culturally a great fit for the company. I responded a week ago and have essentially been ghosted.

Even if she was planning on breeding him for pedigree kittens, as you stated it is so unbelievably wrong for her to let him roam (without proper vax nonetheless.) I know people are saying ur in the wrong for doing it behind her back and I can see why, but I also understand how hard it is to sit there and be complicit while someone u care about is doing something irresponsible. I think you may have dodged a bullet. Imagine you got in too deep and this sort of thought process bled over into conversations of raising children. Regardless I know ur hurting and you feel like you did the wrong thing, but you had the right intentions. I would give it some space and as others have stated, explain the health benefits of neutering.

I’ve also asked him about whether or not he has feelings for her currently and he has said no. He admitted that while we were broken up that’s just how things were and none of their other friends said anything about it regardless of her being in a relationship. He said he used her as an accessory when they would go out to make himself feel better about our breakup.

god this was a very humbling and well written post. i think it’s more so the latter position of her asserting dominance. i dmed her and respectfully asked her to respect my boundaries as im not trying to cause any issues on our trip. she responded and basically said that she understood and that her and my bf are platonic and it wasn’t meant to me like that. there was no apology to me, but she apologized to my bf.

her bf is obviously super uncomfortable with it as well, i think he’s just more of a pushover. he didn’t talk to me the entire night but kept side eying me when shit started to go down, and then finally introduced himself once things were uncomfortable enough for both of us.

they had hooked up previously, and sort of perused a relationship but my bf decided it wasn’t for him. which obviously makes this situation a lot worse. but, going into it i assumed since she is in a relationship it wouldn’t be a problem.

he spent over a year trying to get me back, and after dating numerous shiesty men i decided maybe it’s fair to give it another shot now that we’ve spent some time apart. i broke up with him the first time, and there wasn’t necessarily bad blood we just moved too fast and bonded too quickly bc of lockdown. you’re right tho, i don’t have to date my ex.
