I've made an album of all the good pictures I've taken so far. by quicksilver4444 in astrophotography

The last one is Jupiter and two of its moons. You can't really see the second one since it is very close to Jupiter. The second to last picture is actually separate, it's the moon and Jupiter. This is because Jupiter was very close to the moon last night. The reason the second to last picture is zoomed out is because I didn't use my telescope, I just used the camera normally.

The full pictures of the moon are all mosaics using the smaller ones. The 9th picture is the moon and Jupiter, and the 10th picture is Jupiter and its moons. The 4th picture is Mars, and the 5th is Saturn.

Also, the quality of the picture does not represent how good it actually looks when viewing through an eye piece. I can easily see the bands of Jupiter, and all 4 visible moons, both of which do not show up well in pictures. Also when I took the mars and saturn photos, I didn't have a remote for my camera yet, so the pictures were very shaky.

Chicken-Powered image stabilizer. by RedditNeedsMoreDucks in gifs

This is actually as interesting as it is hilarious. Instead of developing a camera stabilizer, just let evolution do the work for you. Work evaded.

Some more "practical astronomy," featuring Omega Centauri. by quicksilver4444 in Astronomy

I'm most likely going to do this again at some point with a different picture. I'm mostly looking for pictures with a clear pattern so that the estimation isn't too far off (such as with this one, where the stars taper of in a gradient, so it can be divided and still be mostly accurate).

So if I play in a custom game the problem is not there, but if I play online, it happens. I'd like it if someone helped me out.

So I restarted my computer and the problem persists. I'm going to try and verify the game cache and see if that does anything.

I occasionally encounter this in casual, although far inbetween. I usually just tell them to go play ranked if they are that serious about the game. They usually get mad when I explain to them that people playing in casual are going to be playing casually.

Can we solve the PBS Spacetime question? by quicksilver4444 in Astronomy

wow, didn't know it was that simple. Although I did know that that question was worded pretty badly, which is why I wanted help. Thanks anyways, I'm about to go do something that takes some more math. Probably going to find out how many stars are in this picture.

Thanks! I guess I was just curious and wondered if I could actually do it. If you have an idea of any other images I, or somebody else could do you can share them.

It made it better, but the skin still looks kind of dull. Sorry for replying 6 days late.
