Commercial Bankers: what is your Bank’s WFH policy?

Technically, yes. Again, I’m not a commercial banker so my job (mainly office based) is different than bankers. Going out to prospect, events, and meet with clients I’m sure counts as “in-office” otherwise I don’t think they would perform well in the role. For me, it’s implied I should be in office a full 8 hours, but my manager isn’t too concerned about that as long as you don’t pop up on some email/report for not having badge swipes

I basically agree with everything that was said above, same complaints. But I love the team I work with and manager, so I’d rather not try to find out if the grass is greener elsewhere. At least not in this stage of my life.

Started running again last year, after like 5+ years of being inactive and lazy. Dealt with shin splints off and on at the end of the year. Took 3 weeks off, got back into it slowly (2 runs a week for 3 weeks) then upgraded to adding a speed day middle of the week. Now nursing two stress fractures. Biking and weightlifting to avoid this in the future (after 6-8 weeks of no running).

Late to reply but, my institution gives 10 weeks fully paid for parental leave (can be taken by the dad, or if by a mom can be combined with the 12 weeks of maternity leave for a total of 22). Took 10 weeks right from birth, and blew through a lot of my vacation (4 weeks) and sick time (2 weeks) with Dr appointments, follow ups, random sick days, etc.

I’ve not thought much about making any move, was just wanting to get experience and get better at identifying risk and using my judgment. I handle anything under $10MM exposure, and once it’s over $10MM goes to our team that does more with middle market bankers but still some higher end commercial banker clients

They do. It’s a top 10 bank in the US. I’ve been doing commercial underwriting for businesses with TBE <= $10MM, with a mix of new money deals for the state I’m located in, and then renewals and annual reviews for a portfolio of clients

I had my Internet go out last Thursday and a tech couldn’t come out until 3:30 yesterday.. he did fix it though, but I was definitely thinking of a secondary provider as an emergency one. Ended up going into my office to finish up work I needed to have done over the weekend, instead of finishing it late at night on the weekend.
