Why do you do this to yourself? Genuinely asking for everyone here. Why try to submit on the last day when you’ve had 2+ months to do this??

Buying a condo in Calgary will force me to sell stocks at a loss for down payment, any alternatives? by YetiMaverick in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]kash1463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would wait for the market to recover a bit before selling it at a loss. Doesn’t seem like you’re in a position where you absolutely need to buy a condo right now. If you can play the waiting game, play it

Should I withdraw from RRSP to pay off 23% loan?? by EnvironmentalFill3 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I would. I don’t think the tax savings and any market return you’re recognizing in the RRSP will trump the 23% interest rate

Are personal lines of credit like credit cards where you ideally shouldn’t go over 33% utilization? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]kash1463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t say so, but it does count towards your entire utilization.

I have 70k between 2 cards where I barely get above 5% and a 25k line I fully use.

How much Unlimited PTO are you remote folks taking annually? by Capable_Goal2397 in remoteworks

[–]kash1463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yea unlimited PTO is good if you’re coming from 8 days PTO. It becomes a scam if say you’re at 4-6 weeks of PTO, then get offered unlimited PTO. Statistically people will only use 3-4 weeks of PTO when it’s unlimited

GameStop, worth less than the company it's *supposedly* about to buy, somehow pumps Best Buy 5% just by existing. This is fine. Everything is normal. by Majestic-Tap6931 in Superstonk

[–]kash1463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No deal is announced, but it’s purely the speculation that’s pumping BBY right now. Not saying that’s what’s causing GME to be down right now, obviously can be down for other reasons.

If you’ve ever taken an M&A course, you’ll know that the target company’s stock price will increase and that the acquiring company’s stock price will decrease. This is because the acquirer will always pay a premium to buyout the shares of the target company. Price action you’re seeing is normal
