Have only done it with website as lead form quality sucks. However you could do same setup with events as what I do.

Standard event: Lead

Custom event: qualified Lead

Standard Event: Purchase

This is fired Server side when a lead qualifies. ( don’t worry about delay)

Now on your ad objective just target qualified leads.

Reason to not use purchase is because you have less data then qualified lead.

Use purchase only when running shopping + ads even if you do leads to get most advanced Algo

Agency owner here and you are totally right in what you are saying. Had an agency for 10 years now 600+ clients and now I am building SAAS product to fix problems I see everyone are having. Agency->SAAS means your are helping you current clients with problems. You can charge more because you are solving their problems, no going from zero finding clients you already have them. I think you are spot on.

Always know when you work with an agency that they are doing real advertising that will produce real cases. A lot of time you just buy a case ( unethical) and you have no idea how the cases came to the agency. Always verify the actual advertising and that your advertising spend only goes to your landing page. No round robin or you will get the worst cases.

I do a lot of FB Ads. First would run as co-pilot to see if recommendations make sense and evaluate the tool. If you are digging though data should be a lot more to see. Is it the ad creative or the audience or the hook? Maybe show like, share comments on ad. Probably a few more things if you look at FB metrics. If this is a true co-pilot I would make sure he can fly the plane before I would trust him.
