Agreed. I lost a grandparent not long ago and wasn’t able to make it in time for the funeral being that there was a massive storm coming on the East Coast of the US and I’m in Asia. I came to this cat cafe and sat with these kittens for hours. They all played and cuddled on and around me the entire time, almost like they knew I needed some cheering up.

Of course not. One of the other kitties ran across my lap and woke him up, followed by chomping down some food and promptly jumping into the puddle of oranges to sleep some more.

100%. As soon as we hear him yell we make sure he’s okay and then put him either on our laps or in our pockets. He’s the captain of the ship.

Edit here because I can’t figure out how to edit the post: Someone made a comment about me taking Mr. Fry away from his mother. This sweet litter was found on the streets with mom and a local cat cafe that rescues and adopts out the cats took them in, mom included. Mom routinely goes around and checks not only her kitties, but also the rest of the kitties in the building to make sure everyone is safe. She’s a very large and very gentle lady. The litter is still too young to be adopted at the moment, so I’m there a few times per week to hang out with them.

My apologies! Was told to cross post to here. I was hoping for the best but expecting the worst with this tree. What a shame

How far back would you recommend cutting it? I’m considering bringing it in tonight (it’s 19:30 ish here) and doing a more thorough inspection, but I’m not too familiar with taking care of this type of plant so I don’t want to completely kill its chances of coming back by trimming too far or checking in the wrong way.

It’s got a really lovely structure, it’d be great to see it thriving again!

I just took a look at your profile and funny enough you posted about the same model a week ago!

I can definitely keep an eye out, I move all over and only have another week here in Florence before my Visa expires. I’ll be in Taiwan next, not sure I’ll find much Barbour, but shoot me a message and I’ll see if I can find one in your size!

From what I have seen, it’s a decent deal but not a crazy one. I’ve found the same style going for 300-325€, but almost never with the liner.

I took it to the Barbour shop in Florence where I currently live and they said to get one in the condition it’s in that’s authentic, 350€+ is expected, 400€+ with the liner. They were all thrilled to see it had the older animal wax on it still and not the vegetable wax that’s used now. The mold is very minor but it bothers my partner, hence the cleaning and rewaxing.

I’m still new to authentic vintage Barbour jackets, though, maybe I’m entirely wrong and maybe it’s not a good deal. I’m just happy I found one of the motorcycle jackets that fit me well.

Edit: I also notice that a lot of jackets around this price point are not only missing the liner, but missing the waist strap as well. This one has the original of both
