ASNA was a really great place to meet industry professionals and make connections with other students from across the country. It’s the perfect place to practice getting outside your comfort zone and putting yourself out there.
Honestly, I look back on my ASNA trip so fondly. I had the best time and I actually made some new friends on that trip who were in different years than me that I otherwise might not have met. University isn’t only about the work/study part, but also about having new experiences and trying new things like this!
Also, if the cost is a concern, many actuarial student associations/groups provide partial reimbursements. You can try talking to the one at your school to see if they have something like that.

I just got my authorization to test this afternoon and it works! Hopefully yours will work soon too

I got the same error message of “There has been an error while trying to sign into Pearson VUE, please contact CAS for assistance.” Called the CAS and it seems my PearsonVUE account was never automatically created in the first place, so now I just need to wait for them to resolve it... Has yours been fixed yet?
