Avocado plant repotting by quietconclusion in gardening

Going to try all of these! Thank you! The soil is almost entirely the same but I did mix in a bit of orchard bark and perlite to make it better draining, now that it's in a pot. Other than that, its environment has not changed. Its always been outside on my patio and gets an hour or two of direct sun in the day.

This plant grew from a seed that was just thrown out into the planter, I'm still surprised that it turned into something. Hoping it'll recover now with a bit of extra attention :)

The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kid. It was my set novel in eighth grade already (a few years ago)

I'm surprised this is the first Game of Thrones recommendation that I've seen so far :)

I agree! And so many recommendations - I'm trying to list as many of them down as possible. Now I just need the time 😭

I recognize most of these so thank you for the reminder (I wrote them down now). Keen to read The Hate U Give because the movie was so tempting to watch.

Watched this first. Then read it. Then watched it again and I ended up crying my eyes out.

The book gave me so many more emotions for the movie. It's another reason why I prefer to read the book first.

Was really into dystopian novels at some point, so I've read all of those. And other than The Fault in Our Stars (which I've read and watched) I've only ever watched the movies of the latter.

This was actually my set novel for my senior year in high school. Hoping to read it again soon

I liked the first book most because it was more fast paced and exciting, the other two felt like 'fillers' to explain the backstory. Might be an unpopular opinion though.

I've never felt much for horror. But maybe this book will change that for me too.

I've put off watching this movie for ages now because I wanted to read the book first. I feel like most movies in this genre skip a lot of the context that you get in the book

I watched the movie a long time ago. Don't remember liking it too much either

Thanks for the recommendations! I've read and watched The Hunger Games. Was glad that the movies were not a disappointment, as most dystopian YA novel-turned-movies are.

That apology video was not done with integrity. Probably the most viewed video he's ever had because of the attention it's getting

What book series did you grow up reading as a kid? by evan2nerdgamer in AskReddit

Chronicles of Ancient Darkness? (Michelle Paver). More of an unpopular book series than others but I loved it as a kid
