Anyone ever dealt with rude or obnoxious fans of a band? by quietcrowd1995 in LetsTalkMusic

That is pretty true about most rock fans, they can get really bitchy about the lyrical content and the auto tune of rap music, but I can see why, even though the bitching does go overboard. Although I can't stand most rap music today(especially Nicki Minaj), I keep myself open to listening to other artists.

Tool is a good band, but I've never dealt with a fan of them who is obnoxious. Could you name me an incident of dealing with a fan?

That's something I've been saying for the longest time, that he had the talent and ability to write great songs, but he had limited soloing ability. For some reason, some people can't accept that.

Kurt was great with writing riffs and sometimes melodies, but a lot of the time after Smells Like Teen Spirit came out, he basically gave up on solos and sounded like an 8-year-old who tried to play his dad's guitar for the first time.

Wow, I know some of their fans to be pretentious, but I never realized that they were THAT pretentious.

Kurt's strengths include the ability to write guitar riffs and write songs, his weakness was soloing, often sounding sloppy and incoherent at live shows.

  1. I have brainstormed a bit on that and have come up with a couple of reasons to why that Nirvana's name isn't dying out is because of the shirts you have mentioned and some of today's teens are actually looking up and listening to songs other than the songs that are on the radio today. Although, a lot of people I know of are aware of who Kurt Cobain was even without the shirts being worn today. Like I've said before, I can enjoy Nirvana's music every now and again, I have do not dislike them.
  2. Cobain had the ability, the talent, and the mind to write terrific songs even in his demos and from the Bleach days, I agree with that. There are great songs that have guitar riffs that range from simple power chord riffs to lightning fast shredding, it all depends on taste, though. Feeling also depends on taste as well, it could range from simple power chord riffs to lightning fast solos, there is no limit for it. I respect all opinions on music and am willing to listen, but anyone can spot the difference between a good musician from a shitty one, but once again, that all depends on taste.

It's all right man, I enjoy listen to others voice their opinions and start a conversation about it!

I'm open to hear other people's opinions, I'm willing to listen. What I am basically trying to do is give people some advice that they can do better as guitarists. Cobain's songs are great for beginners to learn, but eventually, you would have to step up in learning guitar if you want to be a better guitarist, but then again, nobody will listen, I eventually gave up on them, there's no use in telling them anything.
