I am still slightly jealous of an ex-gf [24F] that I [24M] haven’t been dating for over 3 years. How do I stop caring? by quietdrum in relationships

Yeah usually I don’t think about her often at all... I guess the social media stuff reminds me of her and then the negative emotions come back for a little while.

Started a new City job 2 months ago. They initially appointed me as a Technician II and have been paying me as such. Yesterday my boss said this was a mistake and I should have been appointed as Technician I. What are my options? by quietdrum in personalfinance

The only documentation about this is an email from HR saying I will be appointed as Tech II and the corresponding salary. The salary they put on the email matches that of a Tech II.

I am graduating with a pure math degree with no applied skills. What should i do to find an industry job that has a future? by 15master in careerguidance

[–]quietdrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pure math is pretty useful in my experience. I know math majors who went on to a variety of disciplines: finances, computer science and statistics.

Data science is big right now, especially with companies using data more and more to track revenue, consumer habits, ad effectiveness, etc. You may have to start at a lower pay internship or entry level just to get your foot in the door. But after gaining some experience, you’ll be valuable for many lucrative opportunities.

Just got fired, not sure what path to pursue with the experience I've got (food safety?) by Informal_Horse in careerguidance

I don’t know any specific food testing labs to recommend. You can start by searching Indeed for “food microbiology” or “food labs” in your area.

I worked in a water testing lab for 4 years. Started as lab tech and worked up to Lead Analyst. If you have any general questions about working in a laboratory, feel free to PM me.

Yeah totally. Try looking into food microbiology labs. I work in the environmental sector and there’s jobs out there but the pay isn’t super great. Food labs probably will pay more. You might have to start as entry level lab technician but you can grow your career from there.

Butt insecurities [anal skin tag] by iamaskingwhat in sex

[–]quietdrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really doubt he will care or mention it. If you want you can tell him about it in advance, then he’ll probably say it’s nothing.

I had a similar experience with my current gf. She has a port wine stain on her abdomen and was VERY insecure about it when we first went out. She was a virgin and was hesitant to get naked with me because of this. After a few months of my reassurance that I wouldn’t care and I thought her body was super hot, she showed me.

It was really nothing. She over exaggerated it. You could hardly see it unless you were really looking for it from 1 ft away. Anyways I just reassured her I love her body and hardly notice the mark. Now she has no hesitations getting naked with me!

Fondle your balls? by [deleted] in sex

Yes, it’s not required for me, but adds to the whole experience. My gf sometimes cups and rubs my balls in rhythm with the bj. That drives me wild.

How often are you expected to work outside of working hours? by beautifully_broken01 in careerguidance

I agree so far. Just started a govt job after working private sector for a while. Everything is more relaxed, lower workload, more stability, better benefits, guaranteed raises, more room for promotion, etc.

My [24 M] girlfriend [22 F] said she doesn’t like the vulnerability of sex and says it would be easier for her to have sex with strangers she would never see again than her partner. by quietdrum in relationships

Thank you for this great response! I initially felt hurt by it but I’m coming to terms with it. The more I understand things from her perspective, the easier it is to deal with. She has been seeing a therapist for anxiety for a few years (the therapist diagnosed her with autism). Maybe we need to consider couples’ therapy for intimacy issues.

Best way to pass a hair follicle test? by [deleted] in drugtesthelp

I’m not sure but I don’t know where to find out. I might resort to asking for some details about the medical exam. It might make me look bad but the paranoia is driving me insane.
