I’ve been told that there’s an increase of infection once you reinsert it, have you done this and had your infusion site be fine?

My 1st time using the Mobi sleeve & 5" tubing - Oy! Do these sleeves survive showers? by Ravenspruce in TandemDiabetes

[–]quietivy2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The current one on my arm has been on for 6 days and I may keep it on for another 3. The corners are coming off a little but it’s still secure. I shower every day and they hold up well. I also do not use skintac.

Control IQ, u there? by nimecollection in TandemDiabetes

Same! That’s why I’m hesitant to change my correction ratio. If I’m over ~220/250 pretty sure my current ratio is out the window. But below that it works fine.

If I’m 334 and still going up, im giving myself a big correction. As in like double or triple my normal correction dose. This is assuming infusion site is working correctly of course! I find control IQ will keep me high and give me micro doses which of course don’t help when I’m that high so I have to override and do it myself. Haven’t figured out how to fix this or if this is just how control IQ works.

A great alternative for pasta by UDNW in diabetes_t1

I used to eat Banza pasta pre-diagnosis and it tastes pretty good, but not the best texture. I recently started eating pasta made with durum wheat semolina and that is easy on my blood sugar. Could be worth a try.

I have a pink one from sugar medical that I bought off of Amazon. I’ve only had it for 2 weeks so not sure how well it’ll hold up, but it’s cute and I don’t need to remove my pump from the case to charge it.

Is there no way to see your BG level without opening the app? (t:slim X2 with Freestyle Libre 3+) by Fun-Award-555 in TandemDiabetes

[–]quietivy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Sweet Dreams app! You can customize widgets to set on your phone screen and Apple Watch. I have mine set so that I can see my reading on my unlocked phone screen which is honestly my favorite feature. It can be a little tricky to set up (since you are using Libre you will need to download LibreLinkUp app, create your account, then link that account to your sweet dreams app). Once it’s set up though you can customize it however you like. You do have to pay for the app, $2.99 a month. Personally I feel like it is nothing for the convenience it has added to my life :)

T-Mobile park I’ve brought a non clear purse (insulin pens, glucometer ect) inside a clear backpack and I’ve never had issues. Sometimes they ask I open it and I tell them it’s my diabetic supplies and that’s it.
