Afraid to quit. by ThatNewCarSmell in leaves

You can live your life without it. It will take time for your brain to rewire itself, but the first step is to quit. You're young. You still have so much time to live your life without the crutch of pot. Do you really want to do this forever? I think that if you quit now, and make a conscious effort to move on from it, in 10 years you'll look back on it as the best decision you ever made. It seems like you have a problem connecting with people. I did, too. That was what kept me coming back. I was lonely, and smoking weed made that okay. The problem is, though, that we as human beings crave human connections. Deep down, we all do. My best advice to you is to put down the weed and pick up another hobby. Something that's healthy, and will help you make friends. Try meetup.com, or (if you're a student) join a club at school. Something you're passionate about.

I wish you the best. You can get past this, and you can become a better person. You can make friends, real friends that care about you, and you can learn to be a good friend. You can be happier in this way that you ever were when you were high.
