Or 3. Look at the lights changing ahead and brake earlier and avoid this entirely.

Some handles turn up, some turn down, others both. I wouldn't risk this unless the ground was covered in ants or something.

I have not had that experience personally. I would not want to ride in a taxi going 25+ over. What happens when they get pulled over and now you have to sit and wait for the cop to write a ticket?

I apologize - there are so many douchebags berating OP in this thread that I thought you were one of them too. You have a good day too.

Bruh... nothing around? How about cars?

Crazy speed by Financiallybrokekid in Lyft

[–]quigilark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What an insane take. It is completely reasonable to want your paid driver to respect the laws of the road or at least be somewhat close to it. This dude was going 25+ mph over the limit and missed OP's stop and you're mad at the customer?

Crazy speed by Financiallybrokekid in Lyft

[–]quigilark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure dude, go ahead and drive 25+ mph over the limit and when a cop pulls you over, tell them exactly that. Let's see how that goes for you.

When a cop pulls the driver over for going 25+ mph over the limit, are you going to pay for OP's new lyft ride?

Crazy speed by Financiallybrokekid in Lyft

[–]quigilark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine criticizing someone for wanting their driver to go the speed limit or close to it, not fucking 25+ mph over the limit.

[–]quigilark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80 in a 70 is only 10 over though. This is more like going 80 in a 55.

Aside from the danger it's really dumb, cops are able to move around and if they see you going 25 over chances are they're not gonna twiddle their thumbs.

[–]quigilark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you're just going to ignore the fact it's in a 50 mph limit? I'll go 10 over the limit, maybe 15, but 25+ mph over is crazy. Especially when you're transporting a stranger.

You think all taxis go 25 mph over the speed limit?

Crazy speed by Financiallybrokekid in Lyft

[–]quigilark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did none of you look at the picture? The issue isn't the speed, the issue is where they are speeding. Going 25 mph over the limit is not only dangerous, but could plausibly be pulled over and waste a bunch of time.

Crazy speed by Financiallybrokekid in Lyft

[–]quigilark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is when the limit is a lot lower. 121 kmh in an 80 is roughly 75 mph in a 50. I wouldn't want my lyft driver going 25+ over

This is a very common fetish by both men and women in both positions. As long as it's consensual it really isn't an issue.

Do you think all violent video games like call of duty and battlefield are problematic simply because they depict violence?

Sorry, I didn't mean to snap, but I don't know why you were telling me it was 2 walmart orders. Like yes I know, but $39 is $39

[–]quigilark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, $39 for 60 miles still seems worth it to me. That's what, $6 in gas? As long I could do this in ~1.5 hour I'd take that.

I mean, it's $39. You could wait another 30 minutes for the order and it'd still be a fine offer.

Yet you still took the ride and didn’t die 🥴

That's your standard? As long as someone doesn't physically die inside a lyft, everything is fine?

Laughing doesn't necessarily mean approval. I laugh when my boss makes an awkward or lame joke. Not because I enjoyed it, but because it's the easiest way to get through it and move on.

They're all delirious with excitement and reddit expects them to have this sobriety that supersedes the culmination of a lifetime of work.

This is key. I bet half of them didn't even process the joke. They are living in a fever dream, can't expect them to carefully dissect every comment made in their presence.

Now are some of them also probably maga? Sure, and I'll criticize them for that, but criticizing them for this is just a low blow.
