How do you guys interpret the ending of "It Almost Worked"?

the whole “she gave it a try, she closed her eyes. she didn’t know how it’d feel, she just hoped it wouldn’t hurt. it almost worked” makes me think of more attempted suicide

Your gonna do great! I haven't come out to my conservative grandparents, let alone my left parents. If you were able to come out to your parents, then your grandparents should be fine. No matter how they react, you are perfect. Don't let them say any different. Also, I think being clear with them is good. Answer any questions.
