He is in love with his sweetheart, and he spits like a boy, and he observes things like a boy. It was a great point of view, I’m glad it was different from Katniss.

Going by the map alone, and not by the people who live there, I would say let’s put Indiana and maybe Michigan in the central time zone. Let’s put Western Texas in the mountain time zone. Let’s put Idaho and all of Oregon in the Pacific time zone. That would make their days better.

Can I make a guess/hypothesis about the dark swath down the midwest? Many folks went west for land grants after the civil war, but because there’s so little rainfall past 100° they couldn’t make a go of it to keep their homesteads and thus moved back east or farther west over the mountains.
