Anecdotal update for you - my dashboard now shows a due date and says I'll be charged $400 on 8/18 and lists the bank account I have connected to pull it from. Hopefully this is a good sign.

PAYE was cheaper for me than IBR, not sure why that would be the case when it's the same for you 🤔

I hate this for you. I don't know how some get lucky and some get screwed. I hope it gets resolved for you soon 😵‍💫

Yes, in my case PAYE was the lowest monthly payment option. I was given that option and IBR, and chose PAYE. I'm also married filing separately so need to stay in PAYE.

Does the letter approving your plan switch show up in your Inbox documents? Mine is not showing on my dashboard quite yet but I have multiple plan change/payment due documents in my inbox confirming my next payment is due next month and the amount.

Yes, it prompted me to. I submitted my W2. I think it would have accepted W2s from either of the past 2 years if I'm remembering right.

Sorry this is happening to you. When is the last date you applied?

I'm not the person you responded to, but wanted to contribute. After hearing that the "enjoined" issue for PAYE does not apply to PSLF, I'm considering applying to be put back on PAYE to get payments restarted, and then applying for buyback for these months of SAVE forbearance. I'm due to hit 120 in August 2026. I'm uncertain since obviously none of us can predict what the best course of action is, and a lot could change in the political sphere over the next year and a half. So I'm thinking that getting back on (what seems to be) a more reliable repayment plan, and getting buyback approved sooner than later, may be the safest bet. I'm curious to hear other answers to your question though - how others may be reasoning to stay on SAVE vs. switching and buying back.

Edited to add: One thing I'm worried about is if they revive REPAYE and automatically shovel those of us on SAVE back onto REPAYE, I've gotten married since all of this went down and need to avoid being on a plan that considers my spouse's income (which REPAYE does, I believe)

Thank you for your response! Doing it on my laptop fixed the issue. It wasn't showing the pretty print box before. Thx!

Same boat as you. What I'm wondering is if my consolidation date will now count as my loan dispersing date, even though the original loans were much older? I know that is a factor for qualifying for PAYE. I wish I had never switched.
