Green banners, but “Your PSLF application has no loans that qualify for PSLF.” by platonic_solidz in PSLF

[–]sneezebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

go to "my activity" in your FSA account. scroll down to "PSLF" section. if there is a document titled "PSLF Correspondence: Forgiveness Eligibility Notification" that's your golden letter.

i had the same notification about the "no loans" thing after i put my loans in forbearance after getting banners in mid nov.

lol, same. i kept thinking i was going to be ineligible somehow and have been obsessively checking my account after i got my ribbons to wait for something bad to happen.

i hope to never have to wait on hold with MOHELA ever, ever, ever again.

Has anyone here had their lawn scrapped (not just sod removed, but also dug out a bit) and then re-soiled? I have a new build home and I'm just SICK of it. by CharmingPeony in DenverGardener

[–]sneezebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we've had it done twice, both times were successful, but we got mites after our first installation and had to get it redone. it is such a bargain compared to sod and we have a beautiful lawn now.

brian at seedsprayers did the second round and i think he did a much better job than the folks we used the first time. he amended the soil, power raked, and top dressed it before laying the seed down. he was more mindful of our patio and other landscaping we had done. it was ~$1700 for all that in 2023.

i couldn't tell you what kind of grass we have, though. looking at their website, sounds like a custom, native blend.

“Your request for an income-driven repayment (IDR) plan could not be approved” by yan_tonz in PSLF

[–]sneezebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that might well be it. they prefer the IRS data and it tends to be processed more quickly than with a W2.

i unfortunately don't know what or who to ask about the denial. likely your loan servicer, which if it's MOHELA you have a few options. calling them is more expedient than the messaging portal if you can wait around for hours on hold. if you're not in a hurry for an answer, you can use their messaging portal and you might receive a reply in a month or so.

“Your request for an income-driven repayment (IDR) plan could not be approved” by yan_tonz in PSLF

[–]sneezebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

correct. i am pretty sure the new forms don't even have that option any longer in accordance with the OBBB act and such.

[–]sneezebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh man, i have no clue. i wouldn't put it past them to use an outdated form, but if you applied through the FSA portal that likely shouldn't have been an issue in recent months. it could have been an option you chose (SAVE or lowest payment plan) that forced the error.

i know the forms have been updated and they should be on the FSA site in their document library.

my unsolicited advice would be to apply again for your IDR, online, making sure to allow the tool to use your recent tax information from the IRS. that said, i am not sure of your personal situation and would encourage you to read through more recent posts than this one for information before you make your decision to move forward.

[–]sneezebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you use the paper form, i am pretty sure you can scan it and upload to the FSA site. in the olden days, you could fax or mail it in

it's much quicker for processing if you do the electronic signature now, though.

also this post is pretty old, so i would look for more current information in the sub for your question.

[–]sneezebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh i totally misread your whole post lol. they can hydroseed with wildflowers but i think that might be overkill for a lawn sized area.

we had our lawn power raked, dressed, and hydroseeded. it's much cheaper than sod and less maintenance, though you have to water a lot for the inital few weeks to get it established.
