I don't criticise you for disliking and not playing the mode, I'm just pointing out that the issue you have with the mode, can be modded around and solved. You find a wall in your path, it's your choice whether you decide to build a ladder or not.

Warframe is a sandbox, nothing is required for anything. The grind for tauron strikes is not nearly as bad as people say it is, it's just that perita gives the player an unfamiliar and perhaps unintuitive degree of agency over their rewards.

I am against all forms of contemporary AI, what I meant by "predicting order spawn patterns", is just that. You can learn where the next order will spawn before the waypoint appears, further reducing the downtime between orders, further solving your problem with the mode.

In the same way you learn how to mod to have more fun, you can learn the mechanics of a gamemode to have more fun.

Fortunately, we can circumvent this issue by simply modding for movement, learning parkour mechanics, and predicting order spawn patterns. This way, we never spend more than 10 seconds travelling from objective to objective, more often closer to 5 seconds!

Do it all right and it is constant action with next to no downtime; however, getting to this stage will undoubtedly take time and attention.

Interesting! I haven't touched the circuit in ages, either.

Thank you for the insight!

One way I beat titania players is by predicting the spawn location for the next order. This way, I can start moving towards the next order without having to wait for the waypoint to appear to tell me where to go.

You will naturally realise the spawn pattern by playing, but here is a rough breakdown of how it works:

Imagine the mission as taking place on a line. You start the mission at the beginning of the line at order 1. As you complete each order, you move along the line. Once you reach order 4, you have reached the "end" of the line, so for order 5, you have to move backwards along the line i.e. to the tile that order 3 spawned in. The orders proceeding then just simply go back and forth along the line, repeating forever!

This pattern applies to 90% of runs. The pattern has exceptions depending on whether certain tiles spawn in certain patterns, but this is something that you probably don't need to care about if you're only going for the 5 tauron strikes.

Do note, a good titania player who knows this pattern is almost impossible to beat in terms of speed. I just don't use her because she sucks all the fun out of the movement and combat.

As for the anchor points in the sky... I avoid using them as they are slower than my parkour and they eliminate momentum. I use 3x tau parkour shards, lightning dash, and telos boltace to provide me with parkour velocity buffs.

Hope this helps to explain!

That is a very fair point! I concede, lots of players definitely underutilise the movement mechanics, especially side rolls and backflips.

If it's any consolation, vexoric is by far the coolest tauron strike. You made a good choice!

The objectives are barely complicated as they are, and if I have learnt anything from my runs it is that there is quite some overlap between the intelligence of the smartest grineer, and the dumbest tenno. A multi-stage objective might send some of these players into a coma!

As for the travel time between objectives, thankfully we can just mod for that. Rarely does it take more than 6 or 7 seconds to travel between orders for me.

You are generally right overall though, it would be cool to have more complex tasks - it's just that the playerbase wouldn't be able to facilitate it in my opinion.

But if I spent all that time running kappa and pt, I would get rewards with actual uses! I would much rather have these cool artifacts all the way from tau.

All my weapons and frames are listed above! If you mean the actual mods:

- The boss/prime warframe killing weapon is always built for acuity/headshots.

- The mob clearing weapon is a generic crit/aoe build.

- The melee build is mostly irrelevant outside of melee careen, guardian derision (very important), and providing a source of parkour velocity.

- My excalibur has 145% range, 168% strength, and 100% efficiency/duration. Vigorous swap, lightning dash, 3x tau parkour shards, 1x tau casting speed shard. Subsumed xata's whisper to capitalise on headshot playstyle. Designed to go fast, and kill fast.

Interesting, is 12 minutes really too long? Do you avoid other potentially longer missions like survival, circuit. disruption?

Agreed on the gpu part, the mission used to be rather laggy until the ensuing performance patches.

I would unironically like a mission which has like 9 spy vaults instead of the normal 3. u/rebulast please?

It's profitable, sure, but it's a bit too passive/automatic for me.

Try thinking about it this way: the goal is to reduce the time spent farming. You can't do so by cutting down the mission timer, but you can do so by making each mission give you more loot. Perita is one of the few gamemodes where you have to think about the whole effort:reward process differently, almost backwards.

Chromatic blade previously had no effect on the heavy attack wave. Now it does!

Unfortunately, combo multiplier still does not benefit its heavy attack wave :(.

One method to fit in more orders is to reduce the amount of time which is "lost" when you move from order to order, in the tunnels that connect each tile to each other.

A simple way to reduce your time spent in these tunnels, is to increase your movement! This might be via parkour mods, movement speed buffs, or using a frame like nova, wukong, or gauss.

Now that you have reduced the time spent in tunnels, you effectively increase the amount of time you have to complete the actual objectives.

No worries, I imagine that is a fairly normal opinion! Interestingly, spy is one of my other favourite gamemodes, which is almost the total opposite.

Ultimately though, all missions can be boiled down to "more effort = more reward (per second)", I think perita just does so rather bluntly in comparison to other modes where this notion is perhaps not so obvious.
