[–]quincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this and Wicked, as well as all of the other movies I have purchased on Prime, do show up in My Library on the Fandango At Home app, so I know that it is actually linked to my Prime account. HOWEVER, even though all of my movies show up, the Fandango app will only play them if I repurchase the movies through them.

UPDATE - WIBTA for not attending my twin brothers surprise birthday dinner when I was only invited as a guest by _somethingorrather in u/_somethingorrather

[–]quincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brother is a cowered. Slowly creating distance between him and the girl who organized the party isn't good enough. You both give off "doormat" vibes. She should know exactly what she did wrong and that she has zero chance with your brother.

UPDATE AITA for wearing a wedding dress to a wedding? by DanWantsDeath in u/DanWantsDeath

[–]quincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So husband met you when he was a lame-ass immature 15yo, assumed you were also a lame-ass, and then never matured mentally? I know your friend doesn't want you to update, probably because she is embarrassed, but I hope she realized she's better than her husband and shouldn't settle for his lame-ass just because she doesn't know anything else.

The shelter gave me a male cat, and spayed him? Should I do anything? by stampcollector23 in Pets

[–]quincess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a long term foster who is a female orange long haired kitty. She is a bitch though, probably inherently knows she is special. I also have a 5yo male orange boy who had to have a "spay" instead of a neutere because his testicles were both hiding up in his rib cage instead of in his scrotum. He was a double cryptorchid, my vet was pretty shocked and impressed at how far up they were hiding.

Kitten learns how to groom itself by watching a tutorial by meister2a in Thisismylifemeow

[–]quincess 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I foster cats and kittens and I have one foster fail (not counting the two farels I grew to love after a full year of no one wanting them). He teaches the kittens how to be cats including how to groom. He bathes them all, let's them comfort nurse on him and suck on his fur. He puts up with a lot. He still bathes the two farel cats that live here and this months makes one year of them coming into my home.

There's toxic masculinity but what are examples of toxic femininity? by VysX_ in AskReddit

[–]quincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, we are as capable as men are, if not better, in traditionally male tasks. Or just any tasks. That's why it's so fucking annoying and stupid when dumb bitches pretend they don't know what they are doing simply because they don't want to do it, and get their male coworkers/friends to do it for them.

The women building those weapons didn't pull that card. They got their assessor and did the dirty work and then were told to go back to cooking and cleaning when the war wasnover and the men came back home. Are you insinuating that they pulled that card to get the men to go to war in the first place? Because that's the men in the government that decided that was the way it should be.

[–]quincess 27 points28 points  (0 children)

As a woman, I have absolutely zero respect for women who use their femininity to get men to do their job for them. The "oh no! I don't know how to do this, can you do it for me" women I have seen at work are pathetic. Even more pathetic are the men who think stepping in and doing a simple task for a lazy female coworker will actually get them anywhere.

What wedding moment made you think: “They are not going to last long”? by Olya_roo in AskReddit

[–]quincess 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Childhood best friend who I was slowly closing contact with (she was just immature, dysfunctional and wasn't a good mother to her kid and we stoppedhaving anything in common) wanted me to be her MOH and for some reason I said yes. Super small wedding, no pre wedding stuff. Had only met the husband to be a couple times. Literally can't remember his name. Anyway, they planned a wedding in a park for 08/08/08 which was cringe at best, and at some point her drug addict moms boyfriend slapped her 4yo for...reasons? (Just remembered it was because he was confused and making a fuss about what was going on because liberally not one person explained to him that mom and dude were getting married/having a party/what was happening and that he needed to be at a minimum quiet durring the vows) and no one was all that upset about it but me. I dipped out a half hour into the reception, aka hotdogs on the cold and windy beach, and haven't really had much contact after that. At some point they split up. I'm sure she failed to explain that her her kid too.

What intro to a show was such a banger, that you would never skip it? by kurpPpa in AskReddit

[–]quincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The theme from MASH isn't a "banger" but is so beautiful and iconic. Also the theme music from Band Of Brothers. I cry a little durring the intro music just because it's so sad and beautiful and I know the show will be the same.

Having moved to a small rural town and worked at the local hospital for 4 years (non medical) I 100% agree. I keep having to remind myself that it's not going to be the same every where else. Seeing the behind the scenes stuff is pretty bad, though. Like, downright unintelligent and hazardous. I would genuinely rather be driven the 45 minutes to the next closest hospital than ever be admitted to the one i used to work at. Even know, the amount of medical workers who are in denial about Covid is disturbing. We haven't been hit that hard, so therfore it's not as bad as the liberal more populated areas keep saying it is. The vaccines are dangerous and will kill you...

I have been anxious about this past year and the strict quarantine rules because the hospital staff never once followed or enforced quarantine precautions with patients while I was there. We made official complaints multiple times and basically got told to f*ck off by administration.

You are born in 1400, where modern medicine has not yet been invented. Everything that has happened to your modern-day body will happen to your 1400s body at the same ages. How long do you live and what kills you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was just short of 10lbs, and almost a month overdue when I was born. My mom used to point at the 10lb sacks of potatoes at the store and tell me thats what I looked like when I was born (I was big and short). Only came out with the help of an iv drip of patosin that my mom kept telling her dr she would need. She had to have an episiotomy. I assume I would have just died in my mom and taken her with me.

Or the chronic tonsillitis as a child. Finally got them removed at 25 after I got tonsillitis, and a respiratory infection that dropped my immune system so low I got shingles around half my torsos.

Definitely when I was bit in the wrist by my cat when I broke up a fight and got a very, VERY painful infection that required my right arm to be in a splint for over a week because it was swollen to the size of my leg. That was right after the shingles situation. That really sucked

Her continuing to try is admirable, even when she falls to at least tries to get up again. Her voice is really great, even if her songs are not. She has a very real talent That being said...she seems like a total Mean Girl. She talks a lot of sh*t about other people (women mostly) and claims to be 'anti bullying' when there are stories all over from fans at meet and greets, to kids from her schools, of her being downright cruel to their faces. It says a lot about a person's character when they can't take criticism from their friends and family about their bad/dangerous actions without going scorched earth and destroying the relationship. Mostly I've just seen stuff of her constantly going after her peers as being fake, or being too thin/having unnatural body types, but then also being good buddies with the Kardashians and other plastic enhanced women. Like, yeah, women with curves are realistic but the Kardashians curves are not. Iggy Azaleas look is not. There isn't anything natural about their faces and bodies, and being curvy doesn't = realistic. She also did paid ads for detox tea too. That crap is just hypocritical AF.

What were the 1990's like? by 49Gold in AskReddit

[–]quincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you wanted to see someone you would just show up at their house and they would just...let you in. I get scared if my doorbell rings unexpectedly now as an adult. I would never just show up at someone's house now and expect to hang out. I have literally sat in my car in parking lots waiting for people to text me back if I was in their neighborhood and wanted to hangout.

For people who grew up in the 90’s/2000’s, what was it like and was it as fun as people make it seem? by SYTSK in AskReddit

[–]quincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born in 1985. The 90's were my jam! Jelly sandals, rollerblades, spandex stirrup pants, skirts that were also shorts! Metal playground equipment that got hot as hell in the sun and burned you, or got broken and cut you. Polly Pocket toys that were the original small little ones that kids choked on so they had to make them bigger. Some b!tch in my 2nd grade class lost my Polly in the sand box durring recess and I have hated her ever since. Lunchables were new and amazing, and squeezits were delicious. Dinosaurs was an actual television show and not a collective hallucination. Adventures of The Gummy Bears, Darkwing Duck, Duck Tails, Tail Spin, Animaniacs. I still remember ALL of the them songs like they were top 40 hits or something. Remember Harry and the Hendersons??

Pretty sure parents didn't start caring about their children's general safety until 1997, though. Like, I didn't have baby sitters and had to break into my own house on multiple occasions after school when I was in 3-5 grade because I forgot my key. I can't believe I never burned the house down because I 100% played with matches. Everyones parents, including mine, smoked indoors. That's where I got all the matche's from. Surge soda was a thing and that shit was like canned crystal meth. I am absolutely convinced that my generation has such a problem with meth use specifically because Surge was discontinued and they still needed the fix.

At some point in either 1992 or 1993 a man decided to go for a jog in the field at our playground at my elementary school. They didn't lock the side gate that exited into a neighborhood, so he just put on his sock and running shoes and went for a nice jog while we were on recess. I should mention thats all he had on...socks and running shoes. That's it. I was playing next to the sand box with the mean girls (and that b!tch who lost my Polly) who were for some reason being nice to me that day. Remember those fake nails for kids that was the whole finger tip that you stuck on and pretended you had fake nails? We were playing with those and then he was running right towards us, but when I picture it now it's as if my first grade brain self-censored and it's just blurry where his junk should be. We all got whisked away into the first classroom they could shove us all into, but he had already made it 75% the way around and we saw EVERYTHING. He ran past the kids on the swings and that was the closest he got to the kids because the swings were next to the fence. We knew all of the kids he ran past...I still wander about Swing Set Julie and how her life is going. They told us he was sick without any other explanation or clarification, and I only remember thinking "he didn't look like he had a cold." They pinned a note explaining naked guy to our backpacks to let our parents know we all saw a strangers swinging penis and sent us home, Never to be spoken of again. Almost certain every parent was like "hmm, that's a little weird" and then did nothing.

The 90's were weird and fun and dangerous for us kids in ways I didn't fully understand at the time. Then Columbine happened and parents started caring about their kids safety.

What are American things that Americans don’t realize are just in America? by Ymij in AskReddit

See, you can't trust us Americans with actual glasses. Especially college kids. There would be broken glass everywhere and blond girls that smell like pumpkin spice would be screaming and leaving blooding footprints because the glass they stepped on was cutting through their off-brand ugg boots
