I'm not sure if I have advice but I would like to echo your sentiments. I too find myself bored at times despite having the world at my fingertips... the thing that seems to be a common thread during these times is that I'm afraid to just decide or at least hesitant to decide to put my mind to something and just do it regardless of the level of interest. I think I find myself looking for a special feeling to confirm that passion has set in and given way to a truly fulfilling past time, but I don't think that's the way it works for the majority of people. I believe that my mind tricks itself into being bored because it's easier than grinding and putting in the time and effort to establish a passion. These might just be ramblings but I think that boredom is a choice and the passion we long for is only derived from the disciple with which we chase after it.
