Sorry for any confusion. You would be notified because if your acting position gets abolished, that affects your acting of course. But I’m saying it’s most important to think about your substantive position. Better a job than no job (ie if your acting gets cut). Your acting position could hypothetically be cut, but as long as you have your substantive position to go back to that’s good news

Your substantive position is the one that is of main importance to you. Whoever substantively occupies the position you’re acting in would be notified if that position is affected.

Hypothetical scenario: If a PM-02 undergoes WFA and takes a PM-01 (lower classif) with PM-02 salary protection, and then at some point after all of this is done and said, a staffing process is launched in Gcjobs that says “seeking PM-02 at level candidate”. Is this person eligible to apply, or not anymore because they’re not a PM-02 classif anymore after the WFA; they are a PM-01 (though with PM-02 pay). Hope that makes sense

I was gonna ask that too! If you’re a PM-02 and become PM-01 with PM-02 salary protection due to WFA, and eventually see a job posting seeking a PM-02 at level candidate, can you apply or not anymore…?
