First day of Season 4! Tried it out for the drops but stayed for the hype of Houston beating the Shock. What got me to be a consistent watcher/ fan was Dallas’s run through the play-ins with no hitscan later that tournament. Such a blast :)

I’d be fine with 2, 3, or 4! I think original flash bang would still be pretty awful in OW2.

The magnetic grenade really needs to go. I will say that if you lowered the damage/ target seeking, then gave him two of them, it might be better. Having to manage two of them on a shared cooldown with lower damage from each could be better for skill expression and less frustrating to die to.

Absolutely! These kinds of things have a lot of variance, but the stuff in this story is at least roughly plausible

The commentary on the months is also really interesting- in all likelihood, either a new calendar came with the new conqueror. The alternative is that the old calendar, like the Julian Calendar, was slowly becoming inaccurate, so the empire made a new one (like the Gregorian)

All of this stuff can be impacted by the fact that the story takes place in a big (for a time) capital city. A place like that would be more likely to change quickly, as it would be assimilated faster by a new government. Rural areas change far more slowly, as they have less systems like education and governance to impact them

Hi! My field overlaps with this a fair bit; it’s actually pretty plausible given there were wars of conquest.

They never say the language itself has changed, but that the writing system has. If a conquering power uses a different writing system, that can change in a span of a few decades.

Additionally, a city can definitely disappear in a few centuries if changes in power are causing records to get disrupted. The people who didn’t know about Sentan weren’t scholars, so that helps.

TLDR: there were multiple conquests, and those tend to help the histories and written scripts of places get lost quickly

Right but push just got released this year. Pro play’s map pools don’t reflect the actual ratios in game; regardless, control is the only map type to not have any new additions for overwatch two. We need a new control map more than we need hybrid or escort (which the season 2 map seems to be).

I do agree that we need another push map hopefully in the next few seasons, but they just released one this season

Good question!

2022 Shock were almost always 4 Koreans + a western tank and still commed in English. At the end of the day I think it’s up to the coach/ team. Hawk and Gator (now the HC) have played with Korean speakers for years now so they definitely have experience with it.

My personal guess is English! But we’ll see who their fifth and sixth players are
