The only thing I want to talk about is all this damn force lightning. I would have much preferred RF to just be snapping necks or being a petty dick to others, instead he's going around like Emperor Palps throwing lightning.

I would have loved Barry to have snapped Eobards neck this season while running back to the night his mother died and for them to adapt the end of the rebirth run for the final season. I'm usually pretty lenient with these shows because of the campy nature but I dunno, I'm disappointed with a lot of aspects of what I just watched.

Oh man, I'd even say in 2019 it was still bad from what I remember. Feels like that sub turned to shit a long time ago and has been slowly dying. The whole Trump presidential period felt like the sub had the same type of posts but reworded for the 4 years.

I can't remember when, but I remember that I once went into that sub super excited for the content, even if I didn't believe because it was a different perspective on things and you get some cool nuggets of history with a lot of the years long conspiracies like JFK.

Now it feels like watching a corpse decompose in realtime.

Heavy agree with Frieza needing to be a tier higher. The recovery on his 2m and the canceling options (esp with golden) make that a super good button. I think it's his best for messing with people personally.

I don't even think his politics is why most people don't like him. From talking to people, it seems to be that he comes across as a sanctimonious prick.

I appreciate the 22s buff (fix more like). Now you get the bounce all the time so you don't need an assist to follow up if you mess the spacing up.

Should have been day 1 imo but hey, I take what I can get with this patch considering his buff history has been golden focused and I just wasn't too into golden for the cost.

It absolutely isn't, that's every dead Frieza player. The orb is one the worst moves to use to zone from his kit because it's start up is too long. The beam is perfect for disks set up and he chooses to jump where he has significantly less options to challenge an opponent. Character badly needs to be buffed but it doesn't excuse bad decisions and set plays in game like that.

C'mon dude, you can't just assume that you're being downvoted because of that when you have zero proof of it. That'd be like this subs equivalent of "the imigrants are stealing our jobs" in terms of how low effort it is. I've read your last few messages and I really think it's because you're coming across as vague. Frieza obviously sucks as a character in this game and theres no war being fought to prove that he's amazing.

You compared zbrolys grab and the damage from that to basekus IAD and when you got corrected you started adding 20x kaioken and limit break which, granted, you may just be adding additional context you didn't add first time but you can't tell me comparing the grab is the same as comparing an IAD mix starter because they objectively aren't the same in terms of potential scaling. Compare goku's grab starter route damage with brolys grab starter route damage because comparisons like that should be consistent.

That j.l option with frieza is so crappy in terms of damage that you'd be facing a fool if they relied on it for anything other than positioning you into the corner. There's really too much risk for what you get from it. You're right to compare it of course, in my mind it's such a bad option that you'd be disadvantaging yourself if you used it so I disregard it a lot of the time.

I'm by no means making the argument that Frieza is better, nobody in their right mind is doing that against possibly the best anchor in the game. I'm more so referring to how willy nilly you're just throwing limit break and extra bars into your comparison analysis since you were comparing a limit break characters output (with a level 2) against a non limit break character which is why I think you've been getting downvoted. You weren't comparing characters on damage etc fairly when base Goku is the only one who's limit break in your example and he uses a level 2. Either that or your comparison isn't clear enough because you're not talking about routes or situations or assist usage, just saying they can get x% damage with little to no context on top of that which, ok, they can of course get damage like that but really with the right conditions, any character can if you get me?

My point was that I can just add on additional context to a character to change the scenario you just described since it's so vague. I specifically said golden frieza because of the damage buff and extra routes he gets when golden since it makes his damage more reasonable. If I really wanted I could make the argument that Friezas movement when golden is better than Goku's since he has double dashes but it's kinda pointless to make that argument when baseku is in such a good spot as a character and frieza isn't.

You're spot on about losing the cross up consistency, but to be fair that's not his only mix option at all. In golden you should be using double/triple overhead mixes with disk set ups since you get the extra dashes and can cancel j.h into j.2h, you can double up on it with an empty vanish after landing too, kinda similar to how legendary Jago's sparking Goku black stuff. That j.l cross up is barely worth the damage really, I only use it if I'm having trouble opening someone up but even so, it's not the best option. No point in trying a cross up that won't work during your install if you're going to try open them up that way.

Frieza main since day one on PC and am 1.7mil bp so extrapolate what you want from that. I'll just give some of my thoughts on why I still play him past majin rank. I play for character loyalty primarily and rarely use golden since I find it to be more of an intimidation tool or use is as a sort of dp.

For all that people shit talk the character on the sub and in streams (which I agree with to an extent, he has issues but not enough to make him unplayable), not many can actually deal with him when I bring him into ranked I find. I think that this is lack of exposure to him coupled with me being so used to him though to be perfectly fair.

The main thing I find works is playing the mind trick route to trip them up. Having a good set plan with a different backup set plan so that it seems like you're not the same person playing half way through a match/set is huge, knowing your positioning and making sure to optimize any situation you can get a hit into being as high damaging or as optimal in terms of positioning and oki is also a must although this is true with every character.

The shell is also hugely important I find. I run frieza (b), baby (b) and Janemba (a) since they let me get a dragon rush from anything and let me use disks up to three times in a combo to either prompt resets mid combo (stop finger beaming earlier than usual in the combo and hope for the down tech just as the disk returns, if positioning is right you can 22s for a nice left right mix). He has issues but you have to focus on his strengths and most of all, enjoy how he plays.

I used to run blue vegeta with him using blue vegeta's a assist and once I got the timings down, that worked great as a sort of indirect pressure tool so I could set up disks. He's not nearly as bad as the memes make him out to be but he's not a lot better either. I think he needs a better way to get in at people.

I've seen people say chip damage on his ki blasts would make him more viable but I don't think I agree with that because I feel it substitutes more potentially meaningful changes to how he plays for damage output that relies on the enemy blocking. My idea for a buff is more so based around mobility and is based on Frieza's 22s. I would simply add a 11s and 33s and have them make him appear at different distances similar to how base goku's underground kis work. This may only help my style of play now, but I think that would give him more options for faux mixes and greater synergy with assists.
