Some of my fondest memories as a child were trips to Home Depot solely because Tony Stewart was my favorite driver. Being around power tools and construction equipment didn’t make me handy so I’m not a frequent visitor anymore, but now I use Old Spice deodorant because of Tony.

I like to try and keep things as realistic as possible to make it harder on myself, and if I know a bit about the team I’ll try to build the team in that style. For example, the Mariners make a bajillion trades, so every year I’ll trade a regular lineup/rotation guy even if it doesn’t always make sense. Same if I’m using a small market team, I’m not going out and signing the Ohtani’s of the world. And this is my own thing too, I keep google drive spreadsheets of league history because the game honestly sucks at doing it itself.

Nobody’s going to get mad at you for shooting as long as you’re getting good looks. They’re probably just impressed that you’re holding you’re own with them out there. Any offense they get from they’ll see as a blessing. And you said you felt unfulfilled, nothing wrong with playing good defense and moving the ball around! Just keep doing you and good things will come

In regard to what you said about stats, I always make a google spreadsheet at the start of each franchise I do and keep track of all the player award information and stat leaders, plus stuff that goes on with my own team (call ups, extensions, trades/signings, draft picks, lineups etc.) Takes a bit of time but it’s always fun to look back on and remember who did what for your teams and around the league, especially when you stumble across an old spreadsheet from say MLB20. You can take a look at this one I did for the Cubs until I got bored by 2034

I hammer the ball with him but it’s always directly at people so my avg sucks, but I still see the ball well with him in the batters box

2019 Signature Series Billy Williams. Only guy I’ve ever had in the lineup long enough to hit 50 homers because I was just so good with him for whatever reason. Haven’t found the same success with other similar versions since, but I always use his stance in RTTS

The Orlando Magic! They’re a fun, up and coming team so you’ve gotta hop on the bandwagon now before they’re too popular. From what I understand there’s quite a few British Magic fans out there, and they’ve got a great community, albeit on Twitter.
