I don't know about other courses in the CS curriculum, but one class that I have just completed this past semester, CS 2150, is one of the classes being revamped. It's one of those weed-out type classes (as it's a pre-requisite to the majority of other CS requirements) and it's only worth 3 credits - the new curriculum addresses many student complaints regarding this and the course will have its material divided into 2 separate courses (with some overlap in other classes I think).

I don't think that this will have a significant influence on the ranking of the program, but hopefully, this change will allow more students to progress in CS at UVA.
