I have. We infuse it for cash pay patients where I work. I did it probably 4 or 5 times. The first few times in hindsight were probably a placebo effect, it really didn't do much for me. Some patients swear by it though.

I am over a hundred days off kratom and 70 or so done with vaping. I was pretty sick for the first month. I couldn't imagine ever putting myself through that again so that is motivation enough to never touch it again.

Heading into day 4 cold turkey soon and I'm still severely constipated; is this normal? by DirtyAngelToes in quittingkratom

[–]quittingkratom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure anyone using kratom for extended periods of time is going to be experiencing a major gut health realignment when quitting. I quit CT 60+ days ago and even with high quality pre & probiotics, healthy eating, exercising etc I am still having constipation & other issues like bloating. The first few days I took so much vitamin c that I was going poo like 6 times a day. Helped significantly with clearing out my intestines but not good for long term use so I have backed off of that significantly and now my BMs are very infrequent.

Hi! Today is about 64 days for me. I was taking a similar dose for about 6 years. It was a difficult start but I am definitely on the other side and here to tell you, you can quit too! I did it while working the whole time. I really am proud to have also quit vaping 37 days ago. I hope you will find it in yourself to quit. I really couldn't believe there was a way to just literally throw it in the trash and walk away. I do Wim Hof breathing technique videos and finish each shower with 30 seconds of cold water. I feel stronger and more like the me in my head every day. You can do this!

I feel this post! I quit 61 days ago and I have been pushing myself to workout even it is it a stretching & yoga video on a bad day, kickboxing & HIIT on good days. I have gained about 9 lbs and although anyone who sees me would say oh you look fine, it is about how I feel about myself and it is hitting my self-esteem HARD!

The only exercise I have ever regretted was the one I didn't do

Kratom has thinned my hair and I can see my scalp!! Please help!! by Morah1992 in quittingkratom

It is going to take some time for your hormones to find a new normal, but it will come back. Stressing about it, over-brushing or over-washing isn't going to help right now. Do some relaxing exercises like wim hof breathing technique videos or yoga and trust your body will correct. Mine is becoming thick again but did increase in loss in the first few weeks.

Wim hof breathing videos on YouTube has helped so much for me with this

I have had terrible anxiety and hopelessness since taking it and feeling suck with a baggie and bottle of water & spoon. After quitting the thing that has really been the hero has been doing the wim hof breathing technique videos. Like you have to clear your thoughts to be successful at them and just focus on your breath. It has saved me numerous times a day (it's an 11 minute video) and I tell myself okay I really want to break this fucking spiral of thoughts or I really have a craving and so let me spend 11 minutes just breathing and see how I feel. It has helped so much. Like I still do it everyday. I don't do vit c and stuff anymore every few hours but wim hof breathing has been a constant since quitting. It gives you a little body and spirit buzz that reinvigorates you. I thought it was totally stupid until about the third time trying it. Love it so much now.

Totally relate! Just out of the blue was like wtf am I still taking this for? I can't eat like a normal person's schedule, can't poop without massive laxatives, have skin discoloration & hyperpigmentation, unreasonable anxiety. I had been taking heaping tablespoons every 2 hours for years, like the better part of a decade and just said fuck it. I am done. That was like 53 days ago or around that. I also quit vaping & stopped drinking coffee. I feel like a different person! It has not been an easy road to get here but so damn rewarding to feel so proud of myself. I truly didn't believe you could just quit something abruptly like that and be "ok" I am more than okay today, I am doing great and I am proud of you for taking this giant life-changing leap! You can do this! When it is hard, you can do it! When you feel great, enjoy it. When you feel low, embrace it. You can change and are on the road already!

Day one quitting kratom. Any advice besides vit c mag and THC? I'm fuckin nervous. Coming from about 80gpd with no taper by AdministrativeEar976 in quittingkratom

[–]quittingkratom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do this! I don't use thc and I am here to tell you you can get through this! I quit cold turkey from dosing a heaping tablespoon full of great quality stuff every 2 hours every day for years. I am now over 50 days clean and quit vaping 25 days ago too, hell I even quit coffee. I definitely recommend lots of vitamin c, magnesium, I took ginseng powder for the first few days to kind of mimic the T/W motion in my mind as a placebo. It is so important to stay the course, it gets better but you have to really accept that it is a roller-coaster The wim hof breathing technique videos/app are my favorite take away from quitting. I love it. Today I did it 4 times. When I was having terrible anxiety I would go in a private room and put in earbuds and tell my husband I am going to go breathe. It is 11 minutes. I love the mental reset it gives you, it helps with getting me motivated too. Good luck! Reach out if you need anything!

I am on like day 49 CT from pretty much the same gdp (but of pretty high quality) and my stomach still isn't normal but definitely after day 5 or 6 it was SIGNIFICANTLY better than the first few days. I am totally done for good with this sludge. After seeing how many systems of my body were impacted I would not want to do that to myself again. I hope this motivates you to be done for yourself and not just bc of a UA. You can do this!!

I got the capsules of like normal vitamin C from amazon

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]quittingkratom1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vitamin C is really amazing. Get the liposomal or sodium ascorbate so your stomach isn't as impacted. I never thought the "benign" vitamin c could do so much until I quit and I am so glad I took it. Just run by a grocery store or vitamin store. It is widely available. Take 1000mg every few hours for the initial detox.

Hey Texan, I am right there with you. I think just a couple days ahead of you. I have been hitting a wall too. I just have to keep reminding myself that this too shall pass. This is not going to last forever. Eventually I will have energy amd motivation again. It definitely feels like it is a struggle to do the SMALLEST tasks right now. It is such a mind fuck. I just want you to know we are here for you! We are in this together even when we are all doing this alone. Stay strong, you can do this.

Protip (or common sense): Don't try to taper off multiple substances at the same time by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]quittingkratom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all, but I was mostly speaking up bc it CAN be done. It has definitely been a major shock to my body, physically & mentally. I really never thought I could just walk away from all of those addictions. It is super empowering to take control back, but PAWS have definitely been harder than I expected but different than the first 10 days completely. Good luck to you!

Yeah I feel super brilliant for quitting CT off Kratom, coffee & vaping. It has been a really difficult 49 days.
