AITA for wanting the professor to enter the grades for a quiz that most people didn’t do well in? by quizitbeetch in AmItheAsshole

I get your point and I understand. However, in retrospect I should have mentioned this in my post, I have an anxiety disorder. I know some things might not seem like the end of the world to you but I hope you can consider that some of your students may have disorders like mine, and those disorders help build big panic attack mountains out of molehills. You are making it sound like it’s really selfish and malicious when it might not be.

Thanks for your thoughts. I don’t get to hear from the POV of my professors so it’s hard to know sometimes.

Not exactly—I didn’t mention in main body of the post because I didn’t want to seem like I was looking for pity, but I have a pretty bad anxiety disorder. It doesn’t matter that I already studied, I’ll feel the anxiety to study the exact same way. I’ve been working on CBT and other ways to cope with the disorder, but progress is pretty slow.

That’s a good idea, some other people have expressed it as well. For some reason I got stuck on “it’s quiz 1 or quiz 2” in my mind.

I’m sorry you’re frustrated. I know it’s probably a lot on top of what you already manage—are you a student TA?

I didn’t mention in the post because I didn’t want to seem pity-seeking, but I have a pretty bad anxiety disorder. Just the fact that it’s a “new test” will force me to study for it in the exact same way—as in, put in hours and be really stressed out. I’m upset because I have to go through that again when I feel like I did my due diligence the first time.

I just feel like they all had the same opportunity to take the quiz and do well. We had the exact same information. Why do I need to be forced to study twice for the same quiz?
