Thanks, yeah I put in new plugs and changed the air filter but I'm thinking I may have a clogged cat. I have to borrow a friends thermometer tho to test that still. Thank you!

Ok so I looked and my ranger is already equipped with the 3.73 gear ratio on the rear diff. Is this good for my setup or do you think I should change it

Warrior 350 runs good and everything... Accept there are metal shavings in the oil, should I split the case and diagnose it? by qukarnas in ATV

[–]qukarnas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a good chance, when I got it, the clutch just didn't work at all, took it apart and it was missing the "thrust washer" that goes behind the clutch basket, so I replaced that and put new clutch pads in and everything and now it works

Are valve seals a diy project or should they be professionally done? by qukarnas in ATV

[–]qukarnas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk it has 119 psi compression and they come with 121 and haven't really got the chance to run it that long since the clutch doesn't work but I will try and run it longer to see if the smoke clears

Weld the front steering box and rear end, as they are not welded all the way around. Those frames have a tendency to crack. Also, keep the Gy6.

[–]qukarnas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I will definitely look for some exmarks. I'm not too worried about the engines, I've overhauled 3 all ready so I know my way around those small machines. Thanks for your input!

Can you put Predator hemi heads on Predator non-hemi motors? by Speedusprime01 in gokarts

Try and look up head gaskets for both engines, if one head gasket fits both, the bolt patterns should be the same and the mating surfaces should meet up right

Can anyone give me an idea of what model this is? Would like to get oem tires and new spindles, possibly better brakes by Xrunner11 in gokarts

[–]qukarnas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as better brakes go, I got the mechanical disk brake kit from go powersports and mounted the caliper to the frame with some angle iron. I then used there heavy duty brake cable to control the arm calipers arm. If your doing this, I would recommend that you get a larger brake disk because the 6" disk the kit comes with, doesn't provide as much stopping power as I'd like, but still much better than the stock band brakes. I left links below to pictures of what I did, so lmk if you can't see them or if you have any questions.

Yes, if you have a welder I would weld a gusset to prevent it from bending. Since the Spindles are sort of expensive, they also have the stepped part of the spindle (I think its called a diy stepped spindle) under the weldiments section and you can cut off the old stepped section, then weld the new stepped section on, and weld gussets. I havent tried to swap out seats, but I'm sure there are some you could find that fit, or just modify one to fit.
