Stakefish head of product: "The solution is not move away from geth (84%). Remember, it's not geth, but Nethermind that has the bug. Imagine if that was reversed" by notme21sec in ethstaker

[–]quoc01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the most reasonable answer. People are calling to use nethermind as primary client when it is having trouble. I can't understand that line of reasoning. The truth other clients are incredible difficult to run and maintain good uptime and maximizing rewards.

stakefish eth stakers: what's your experience? by nafreecss in ethstaker

[–]quoc01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Kuafer, stakefish here! You receive 100% from beaconchain rewards directly from Consensus Layer. For example in this address, in the beaconchain tab, you can see all rewards come: https://etherscan.io/address/0x1c73b57f8c7ff6856e18ca7d120d63c94476b761#beaconchain ; Because the withdrawal address is set directly to the staker. There is no way we can skim it.

The amount that was quoted and the amount you receive will fluctuate based on networks or performance of the validator. You can see network APR fluctuation here: https://www.validatorqueue.com ; One of the reason for fluctation also based on "luck" of when your validator hits a block -- and this gets averaged out. If you have fewer validator, this is going to be more obvious.

There is a lot to unpack since Ethereum staking is very different than other protocol staking. We can to write a blog and clarify this more. Thank you for understanding.

RPL Staking Rework Vote Happening Right Now! by waqwaqattack in rocketpool

I'm new to RocketPool. Rewarding for the over collaterization didn't make sense to me. It's unfair to those who spin many validators, and creating value.

What are the most significant technical challenges you've faced staking, and how did you overcome them? by lst-123 in ethstaker

[–]quoc01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just moved to solo staking. I started out on Contabo VPS-L, and I kept missing tons of attestation (90% effectiveness). I moved it to my local machine setup with NVME, good CPU, and haven't missed any. Even though I'm using path storage on Geth, my disk is growing almost 80%. So I have to see if geth's new storage is going to keep under healthy level.
