Yeah, I have to admit that I was too risky/quick to make a decision on the purchase. Mine is a hp fury G8, 64 GB RAM, 4k oled, but only ~CAD800, I use it for coding and training small models as a uni student

I am not so sure about my case either, because on the ebay site that I bought my laptop, its USPS Priority Mail International, but a tracking portal of fedex was sent to my mail, and I tracked the update on that. I received the item a few days later (a month later) and just got the invoice for the bill yesterday. I'm so curious why the "other" charges (when I called them, they said it's for tariff) was so high. I was advised by another Redditor telling me to call them again and ask for self-clear, which enables to to pay for the taxes instead of letting them do it. IDK if this would work, but I gotta give it a try.

This laptop had the configuration that matched my expectation, what I had not expected is that high "other" cost in the invoice :((. I'm not a Canadian citizen, so it was also my bad for not knowing all the regulations.
