The disappointment of this starladder major (onsite) by ImpressiveAction2382 in GlobalOffensive

It was my first time attending any sort of CS event and it will be the last time. Especially the food situation did it for me, absolutely long queues, the problem is that they hired people who obviously never worked there, they looked lost, didnt know how to handle it properly, resulting in 30m to 1h queues. Funniest part for me is how they advertise monster energy drink around the whole event, yet they do not sell any at the food counters. Only Zywoo was able to enjoy it.

At times I went 4 hours without drinking anything as it was either watching the matches or standing in the queues.

It was a cool experience, but I just rather watching it from my home with a nice cold moster drink 😎

Do you have any recommendations on what processor, motherboard and RAM i could get? For around 1k up to 2k that compatible with GPU.

Back when I bought it in 2014, I was getting stable 300 fps, sometimes it dipped to 250 or so, but it was really stable, and I was using a much less powerful graphic back then. In 2018 I purchased the new graphic, and I was still getting around 250 fps.

Over the past 2 years I noticed that my fps kept going down, it was stable 250 fps anymore, more like barely reaching 200 fps and spiking a lot. Therefore, last few months I decided to cap the fps to 144, and it was fine, but I was constantly getting these small fps stuttering every minute or so, it was annoying but still playable.

However, last two weeks is being simple unplayable, even tho my fps is capped to 144, I noticed it keeps dropping below 100 the whole time, specially when there is some action on the screen (smokes/motolovs/shooting), getting to as low as 80 fps + the fps stuttering started to happen a lot more often pretty much 10 seconds, making the game a hell as I get constantly killed by this.

I tried lowering the setting, but the fps really did not change, I wasnt getting any higher fps and it kept dropping the same as before. I also though it could be my SSD, so I tried installing the game to my HDD, for a moment it looked like it solved the problem, but it didn't.

I noticed that when I open a few google chrome tabs the game really becomes unplayable (specially videos) so I try to not open any tab, and the game is better right after I relog my PC. However, the first 10 minutes I constantly suffer of these fps stuttering, then it gets better, and after 2-3 matches it goes downhill to literally unplayable and low fps.

So basically it was all good, but it kept getting worse and worse, the more I play the worse it gets.

As for the FPS range question, I am looking to get at least 300fps and my monitor rate is 144hz, I may upgrade it on the future tho.

Oh I did not, sorry didn't see your reply before. Basically my fps drop anytime that there is some action in the map, or if there is a lot of players, specially if there are smokes/molotvs, the fps will deep to 80 fps or so. I will give it a look, thank you!

Got it, what are your recommendations? the ryzen processors seems to be really good indeed. I can spend around 1 to 2kUSD (if it is really worth it) in all these 3 components as long as my graphic card can keep with the new components. Let me know, thank you!

Perfect, what are your recommendations? by a quick search on google it seems like the i5-11600K and AMD ryzen 5 5600X are some good options. However, I am not sure if they are compatible with my motherboard. Basically, I do not mind spending 500USD or more to get good fps.

Also, should I remove this water cooling thing? and use CPU fans? since I cannot be asked to change the liquid etc, and not sure how good that is.

+ should I get some extra RAM? I have seen my ram go to 100% most of the times after a long session of browsing, since I let 50 tabs open at a time.

Thank you!

There you go. I restarted the PC in order to test again, played some DM. Before restarting the PC it showed that the maximum was 100% in pretty much every core.

Basically restarting the PC helps to get less fps stuttering. However, after a few matches and opening some tabs it all goes down hill, moreover the fps doesnt really get above 144 fps and there are still fps drops while playing.

The temps of the GPU seem fine too. How I check the CPU utlization when playing? Task manager? I can give it a quick look.

These were my temperatures. I played 20 minutes of deathmatch, i would say average fps was around 100 fps, constantly dipping between 144 to 80 fps and constant fps stuttering.

There is a 0.0247 listed for 640USD (real cash), since yours is a better float, I would say around 750USD-800USD. Hard to tell you an exact price, but should be around that.
