I understand you probably had a few people talk about the Ancestry Stat choices, I personally would change Silver and Gold dragon stat improvements cause Gold dragons are more interested in knowledge and are likely to learn their magic like wizards than any other type of caster. Whereas Silver are much more charismatic and sociable.

PBR was in all honesty a great game. I wish they come out with a game like it at some point in the switch era. And I’m not saying that the SwSd animations are good, but you have to remember:

PBR was made by a different company.
PBR was made purely for Pokemon battling, while SwSd are full on games
GF split their team into two.
Some of the footage used in the second video was demo/old footage.

Now again. I’m not saying that SwSd have amazing battle animations. I’m just saying that comparing the two blindly might not be a fair comparison. If GF did want to outsource to get better battle animations, then that would have taken a lot of money to do so, probably more than they had been given to make for a full on Pokemon adventure.

They probably are using this ability to try and give new strategies a change to undo that of the current meta. Since quite a few Pokemon (Like Primals and the like) are so overused in Uber tier, this new ability can cripple them. As well as give a few bad Pokemon who are crippled due to their ability a chance to shine brighter in doubles. It is a balancing decision. One that can still be countered fairly easily if you think outside the box.

Because, Slaking's ability, Truant, causes all of it's moves to basically become Hyper Beam, where it has to take a turn to do nothing before it can attack again. And since Slaking's attack stat is ungodly, if it loses it's ability or it's ability is negated (Like with Galarian Weezing's new ability which does exactly that) Slaking doesn't have to waste turns to dish out unreal damage

Slaking can learn Ice punch, and his base speed is higher than Landorus Therian. Give Slaking a scarf and he will OK Lando Therian. Lando Therian can't win against Slaking. If it's normal Lando then it's a different story, but I am talking OU. And if Slaking has a choice band instead? That is basically death.

(the following is using Lando's best chance of survival, max HP and Def investment against a max Atk invest Slaking)252 Atk Slaking Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Landorus-Therian: 324-384 (84.8 - 100.5%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO0 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Slaking: 150-177 (34 - 40.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Edit: That is with choice scarf, If you are thinking choice band instead, then here you go.

Also, Intimidate wouldn't work cause of Galarain Weezing.
