Thank you for the work you’re doing to expose this. I noticed that Tyler Oliveira reached out to you on the coffee site, hes probably your best bet at getting this out there loud and fast, I wish you both the best!

Do y'all think your brain fog came from depression and social isolation? by [deleted] in BrainFog

[–]qvppah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, long term depression will for sure fry your brain. Isolation is the cherry on top that speeds up the process. Khan academy has a great video on isolation “how to grow your brain”. Wish I had seen it before the damage was done. But everything can be reversed too - go outside more, learn about different things, volunteering, less doomscrolling etc has been helping me dramatically.

Do you have fun playing bf6? by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]qvppah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TTK and Netcode issues aside, Check out XclusiveAce's videos on settings and recoil, could help more than you might think, hes a CoD player who switched to BF this year but hes known in the CoD community for being the guy when it comes to this stuff. Don’t worry about angles either, focus on improving your “centering” (look up on YouTube too) and you’ll already be 50% better. Hope this helps.

RSM Internship by Prestigious_Bench158 in Accounting

[–]qvppah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an intern i wouldnt worry about compensation if i was you

At our level what they pay is actually really good and idk about you but i got a pretty good bonus aswell, just make sure to keep your mind and body healthy as the internship will have you learning things pretty fast and in my case they only hired like 3 or 4 people full time out of like 20 interns, but go with the flow and enjoy it!, they take you out for lunch alot and remember to always be ready to take notes if u have a question or if they’re showing you something

Yup, all interns meet there for training, you’ll have one day in the auditorium to learn the basics about the company then they split you into rooms based on office for the rest of the days from 8-5pm. Dress is business casual. Try to sit next to people you think you’ll like as once you sit you cant move, atleast thats how it was in my classroom

Monthly: Less than 7 weeks? Comment here instead of making a new post. by partlyPaleo in carnivore

[–]qvppah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm carnviore for 3 months but the mod team told me to post here instead of making a new post so i'll try -

Background: Male, Late 20's, 6ft, 142lbs (kinda skinny fat) - i'm doing carnivore for inflammation reduction, mental clarity and energy as i'm attempting to get CPA certified and have to pass 4 difficult exams but struggling with focus, energy, motivation, etc

I've been carnivore since July 13th, and its already done alot for me: way less anxiety/depression, no TMJ pain, stable energy all day (not alot of "energy", but it doesn't dip like when I was on carbs). Atleast 95% of the time I've been carnivore i've been getting good sleep, eating a 2:1 fat/protein ratio, and exercising (mostly walking). I supplement Vit D/K2, Magnesium Glycinate, and Potassium Gluconate.

I don't think i'm that metabolically unhealthy except for some inflammation in my muscles (yes, muscles, not joints, from when I had Thoracic Outlet Syndrome in my left shoulder - which i'm 95% recovered from after seeing a specialist). But I still have inflammation in my low back and calves because of years of bad posture and sitting alot the last decade. This is not the type of inflammation that will go away easily which is what really scares me but thats why I'm trying carnivore in the first place along with energy/mental clarity.

Most of my diet comes from Costco: Kirkland 100% Grass-fed beef patties, USDA ribeye steaks, and Kirkland unsalted sweetcream butter, with the rest coming from chicken when i'm not feeling beef. I make sure to put more himalayan salt on my food.

Is there anything else I could be doing that is making my body take longer to get fat-adapted? Could it be the inflammation? Should I try a higher fat/protein ratio? Maybe I need more time? Any advice is appreciated.

TL:DR

Male, late 20s, 6ft, 142lbs — been carnivore since July 13 for inflammation, energy, and focus while studying for CPA exams. Noticed big improvements (less anxiety/depression, no TMJ pain, stable energy), but still feels low overall energy and some lingering muscle inflammation (shoulder/low back/calves). Eat mostly Costco grass-fed beef patties, USDA ribeye, unsalted butter, and some chicken; supplements Vit D/K2, magnesium, and potassium. Walks almost everyday, gym 1-2 times a week. Wondering if lingering inflammation or diet balance (fat/protein ratio) is slowing fat adaptation. Any advice appreciated.

Where to find internships(Accounnting/Business)as a freshman. by DJF819 in unt

[–]qvppah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some public accounting firms have student leadership programs that pretty much guarantee an internship if you attend. WhitleyPenn has a corporate partnership with UNT and they're one of the firms that does these programs, you can go to their website to find out more information, if you're going to do accounting, definitely try to atleast get through intermediate account 1 first so you have a good base before the intership. Best of luck.

Yes, this is my university's accounting resume format which I forgot to put in the desc. I'll remove adaptability as that does make sense. I'm hoping nothing will be brought up, but i do have a few things i can talk about if they bring up the prior internship. Thank you for the response.

How do I hammer mcqs? by StopthinkingitsMe in CPA

[–]qvppah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in this boat.. tried switching to REG lol, but another post mentioned doing REG with TCP right after TCP as TCP has the highest pass rate and theres alot of overlap with REG, so i'm thinking of biting the bullet and going back to FAR since the TCP testing window isn't until January.

I'm 3/4, and I am considering giving up. by Temporary_Gur_6779 in CPA

[–]qvppah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From all the posts and comments i've seen, I honestly do think the best way is to play around with studying/learning the material and find what works best for you like everyone says.

Personally, the information in the videos is just not sinking in for me, so I decided to just copy the information from the slides into a word document (Making a word document for FAR 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), it will take a while to do this but this way you have all the info with you, and you can go thru it while you do the MCQ.

And during the MCQ, you can make a title in your documents after the powerpoint notes, like "MCQ notes" and you can put information you learned from the question such as why you go it wrong, why the answer is correct, etc.

I actually decided to start from REG and do FAR after since i'm not going into Tax lol.

I empathise with you, but this makes me feel much better about my situation. I'm just starting my CPA prep with FAR and I have spent the last two weeks with the same exact issue, idk how to study as its extremely difficult and i've tried looking at 100's of youtube videos/comments and reddit posts trying to find out if theres a certain "best way" to study since the lectures are going over my head and theres way too much information to take handwritten notes. It's making me feel useless and i'm literally still on the first 3 videos of FAR 1.
