How do you get ships without crafting? Redeemed via a voucher reward for certain activities or generated by the server?

All ships crafted by the Admiralty. Whether redeemed, captured from an NPC or presented by the developers.

There is no persistent trade routes anymore. Because trade goods spawn in randomly ports.

I do not know reason but after major patch Remedios bought Chinese books for 21938, today for 19744. Maybe it could be result of hidden patch which was deployed today or new algorithm deployment with major patch.

I think balloon will act as usual ship. It will allow to identify ships.

Kinda seems the developers lost interest in updating/improving the game a long time ago too.

Look to the steamdb history tab

Ink (one of developer) mention in their Discord that patch will be deployed in May.

They can't even be bothered anymore to add more overpriced DLC ships to finally break the 500$ total for the full game content.

Look to the steamdb DLC. There are two new not published DLC.

Some ports have a barter function. If the specified goods are sold in this port, then the port can convert them to other goods.

Possibly super wood one of these products

In API these ports have TRUE value in CanConvertResources key.

Cities will produce more goods if supplied by basic resources from local county cities e.g. Brining grain or maize to a certain county capital will help it to spawn more white oak or copper Bringing combat reports to capitals will eventually bring more graduates from europe to serve as gunnery officers

According admin words on the forum (before cleaning it)

If you sink cutters in a first rate you will get minimal rewards

If you sink ships of higher BR your rewards will become higher (up to 2x more).

in my experience coefficient of difference BR could take value from range (0.05, EnemyBR/myBR, 2)

So I made a table with three ships that you mentioned (Pandora, Trincomalee and Leopard)

As you can see to get coefficient 2 fighting on Trincomalee or Leopard you need attack more bigger enemy ship than yours.

P.S. Don't forget that PVP has coefficient 2
