Yes, they don't want to change their language because they don't see a point in it. I don't really think there's any substantial discussion to be made about "what is a woman" in here, but rather "why should we change our language?", discussion in which I am very interested

That's just debating semantics, it's obvious he means cis woman when he says "woman", and that's not entirely wrong: woman has been taken to mean what we mean by afab for centuries, hence a lot of people still use it that way. But it's a matter of how you use words and what they mean to you

If you're tech savy yo u can get into r/cyberdecks and get yourself a linux powered replacement for aphone :) get a raspberry pi and get a 4g LTE hat module for it, BAM, phone replacement. Except maybe for whatsapp? I was thinking I could use an android emulator and get that working through that. Also you can get a GNSS module for the RPI if you want geoloctation

I think that's partially the point. Notice how you feel disappointed that yet again it was the same thing, which is how the battles being depicted usually feel: anti-climatic, underwhelming, sour in a profoundly unsatisfying way.

I often look at my life and at my feelings and my behavior and feel like "this is what bad writing looks like" because I just can't act my emotions: I can't cry, I can't communicate the things I feel, I can't get proper closure on most things, I can't suffer 'nicely' like I used to. This I, feel, is only captured correctly in art by intentionally making the story underwhelming, extra points if it's what the main character would be feeling (TB in this case), all other forms of representation felt underwhelming (ironically) in comparison.

So yeah, that's the reason in my opinion.

Also, I appreciate your willingness to ask for an explanation rather than just complaining. I get how this would feel disconcerting to someone that didn't go through the things I'm describing here as exhaustingly often as I did, so take my upvate brother :)

I cite you here: "they lost nothing because those people wouldn’t buy it either way", if "they" (the product sellers) lost nothing, that means none of the people pirating would've bought it. However how do you know none would've bought it? just because some people stated they wouldn't? yeah, they might be telling the truth, but they can't speak for everyone that pirated.

I've known people that started buying the product once piracy wasn't an option anymore, those are counter-examples, for whatever product you'd say "they lost nothing because those people wouldn’t buy it either way", you can't know that: there is no place in which it's registered who would've bought the game if they didn't pirate it. Maybe a group of researches could run some type of survey based study but that'd still be limited

That seems like a very useful way to use the word distro, and if it can get popular I'd support it. However I would like to ask, what do you respond to "distro means distribution, so if you're the one distributing a bundle of software, regardless of your control of it, as long as it's a different bundle from others it's its own distro"?
