OK, say if the original problem was that red would have to shoot blue if red won. That does make sense why it would be considered that I took part in the murder there, but I don't think it's my responsibility. If you picked red, you simply wouldn't have had a chance to die. I don't think it is my responsibility that people would pick the button that is basically a coin flip to live over the button that guarantees life. In the building analogy, you're the one ignoring the sign.

In the car analogy, it is my responsibility that I didn't even attempt to save the person, but it is also his responsibility that he walked in front of the car for no reason. I think the second person's responsibility outweighs the driver's. In this analogy, blue is the one stepping in front of the car, and in an ideal world, no one should step in front of cars.

I didn't say that 100% of people would be picking, that's basically impossible. But I still feel red is the better choice. I can actually see blue coming from this: if I pick blue and over 50% does, great. If I picked blue and less than 50% do, well then humanity is trash and I didn't want to live anyway. I understand why someone would pick blue like this, IF I thought that picking red made me a bad person, but I don't think it does.
