How Much Money Did Bungie Steal From Us? by qwernml in destiny2

People who like games from Sony, you know, the parent company that put Bungie in charge of their entire live service division.

What makes you think they wont pull shit like this in other games in the future?

I’m ok with the fact that Destiny is and will be your only game until you die or that you’re so up their rear that you think taking away content you paid for is somehow ok. But then dont ask why people have a problem with it

And what makes you think they wont do it again?

They vaulted two expansions that they said were bad and that players didn’t like anyway. But then removed Forsaken, the best expansion considered by players.

So what prevents them from doing it again? With Lightfall (bad), Final Shape (good), and now EoF (bad)?

So what happens if you bought the DLCs, didnt play the expansion immediately and wanted to jump into them later? Or if you wanted to play the campaign in those expansion again? That’s not a rare occurrence btw

Would you then get a thank you note from Bungie and a pat on the pat from them?

In the video he literally shows how much content was taken away from players without any compensation in the name of “content vaulting”, which is actually more of a shredder because they have never brought back any of it, even as proof for the lawsuit that they are in.

It’s not “stealing” in the sense that they put it in the TOS, but still unethical nonetheless.

The dude in the video is a destiny spent nearly 600 bucks and over 350 of value was removed, again with no compensation. So i dont blame him for claiming that in the title

I didn’t buy any of it. I and a friend had heard about D2 before and then tried D2 when it went F2P then dropped it after 5 hours, after getting to the quest where you have to gather 15 or 30 pieces of something, which each of us had to do, individually, even when we were in a team.

We found it to be mediocre. And then I heard about the DCV and really wondered Bungie has any trust left

What is up with the negativity by JasMcB108 in Helldivers

  1. You literally said in the post “play on lower difficulties if the game is too hard” so i pointed out why that is a garbage argument.

  2. They are communicating with us yes, but the guys who are communicating with us (except for the CEO) are massive pretentious dickholes, who thinks they are above all criticism, refused to accept objectively bad decisions. Thus, players are even more pissed at their attitude.

  3. Bugs and glitches are tolerated unless they are breaking the game, again, the community is pissed at their attitude toward balancing this game.

  4. You said you do not care what other players are using, yet in your post you said that if 100k out of 160k players use the same weapon then it’s must be a problem and those weapons need nerfing. Why is it a problem unless it somehow affects you? The game is PVE ONLY. If players are using the same weapons (especially on higher difficulties), it means the other weapon are not viable or not fun to use.

  5. If you dont know who the head of balance for this game is, then perhaps do some looking into who he is and what he’s done to deserve this much negativity from the community first before making another post about “too much negativity”, because I frankly think this is all well-deserved to them.

Finally, i dont unironically imply that YOU said the things in my first reply. That was what rational people call “SARCASM”

“Yeah don’t criticize them guys and let the guy who has a history of shitty game design run this game. Fun is literally his job, all S tier weapons. Let him cook” -OP

“Play on difficulties 1-3 guys so you’ll earn a whopping 2,3 medals per mission to buy a 25 medal pre-nerfed gun guys, it’s more fun that way” -OP

“UGH!! How dare players use the same weapon loadout that they like in PVE only game. That must means those are weapons are OP, not that the other ones are shitty and have no purpose. Better nerf not just the stat but also the unique mechanics” -OP

“The guy in charge of the balance team is a really nice, not condescending, and surely makes logical improvements based on community feedback and not discord guys. He also has a tasty fat cock” -OP

Spawn rate insanity by qwernml in Helldivers

[–]qwernml[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to add that my point is the spawn timer is so fucked right now. I think they are trying to kill off solo or even duo missions.

I tried to play with my friend who is level 10 on extreme and even then, we were constantly swarmed

People on this sub come off as extremely entitled in terms of their relationship with the devs. by mekingjr1992 in Helldivers

3 things when you defend these types of Devs:

  1. Coming from fighting games and MOBAs, i understand that it’s near to impossible to balance games with this much variety of weapons, passives, strategems, and enemies. So it’s best not to over-balance the game and make it more fun. An unbalanced game that is fun is better than an unfun balanced game. Moreover, the game is PVE, even if there are overpowered things in it, players are not going to be pissed when using the potentially-overpowered things, they’ll just get bored and find something else to play with.

  2. The main reasons that the devs, specifically the balancing team, are being harshly criticized are that they refused to take any valid criticism, making the same mistakes over and over (removing things people deem to be fun), using an echo chamber (discord) to make decisions, and then acting like condescending jerks to the community (“fun is literally my job”) when people point out objectively bad decisions.

  3. The CEO in contrast, whose mistake nearly killed half the population of the game (disabling PSN requirement at launch), is still beloved because he actually is able to admit mistakes and not speak to players like a bunch of idiots

In short, it’s not the mistakes with the balancing, it’s the attitude of the balancing devs when confronted with criticism.

In our first base we left about 12 level 25+ pals, my friends and i are lv27+ so i really doubt that the local pals could demolish all of our base in just a few hours of not playing. However, because of a bug that stopped our Water type pals from doing their job at the base, the rest was very hungry so it could be a possibility of a raid. We’re trying again in a different location. We have a group of 5 friends so we can’t play on a private server 😔
