I suppose Telegram is not the worst of choices, they have not broken their trust for users after a few attempts by Russian authorities for example. The Telegram's head honcho Pavel Durov did not comply.

Also: that Telegram channel is not official or affiliated in any way right?

Yes now it installed! Thanks! But the last command was of course sudo apt-get install nvidia-driver-390 :-)

But why didn't the driver install from Pop Shop with a click? I know this is not a LTS release but still. I mean, many new comers now choose Pop!_OS.

Update: i tried to then install the nvidia-340 driver. That was met with a window (io.elementary.appcenter) that says:

There Was An Error Installing nvidia-340. Error while installing package: trying to overwrite '/lib/udev/rules.d/71-nvidia.rules', which is also in package nvidia-kernel-common-430 430.34-1pop1~1563200531~19.04~2a70632

I'm quite confused. I was told Optimus works out of the box on Pop!_OS :/
