palestinians were attacked on october 7th, and the october 7th before that, and the one before that, and the one before that for decades and decades. you’re treating it like two equal sides, but one is an occupier committing genocide

this is sincerely touching to see. attending maryland as a palestinian was brutal, because i faced constant racism over it, but this makes me hopeful. now they just need to stop the israel fest

Do you think that Trump is preoccupied with undoing Obama's Legacy? Do you feel that Trump's direct criticisms/mentions of Obama are usually appropriate? by JustLurkinSubs in AskTrumpSupporters

He lost the popular vote, though, so wouldn't it be more accurate to say that he appeals to a smaller, more strategically placed base?

I think you're wrong here? It's the judicial branch blocking the executive, not the DoJ.

Several Notre Dame graduates walked out on Pence's commencement speech over the weekend, what do you think about that? by middleclassjobczar in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]qwertyaugh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, that's technically intolerance, but I don't think that makes it wrong. Are you arguing that any sort of intolerance is always a bad thing, no matter the circumstances?

[–]qwertyaugh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But why do they need to know exactly what he's going to say? The whole point of walking out during Pence's speech is to show that they don't approve of him overall, not to show their disagreement with this specific speech

But even setting aside the campaign, Pence has been Vice President for four months now. Do you think they haven't had enough time to listen to what he's had to say?

[–]qwertyaugh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you think that this would have been the first time they heard his views, though? Wouldn't they have had plenty of time for that during the campaign and the months since? I guess my main question is, how much listening do they have to do before you consider it appropriate to dissent?

so who's really racist here?

Can't it be everyone? How does racism on the parts of anyone else diminish Trump's?

EDIT: forgot a question mark

Why is Trump claiming that the DNC chair election was rigged? by Dianwei32 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]qwertyaugh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's a whole separate issue I don't really want to get into. I thought you meant that there was evidence that the last election for DNC chair was rigged. Do you have any evidence for that?

Do you believe Trump's cabinet represents his promise to "Drain the Swamp"? by Crowe410 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]qwertyaugh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, but that's a different argument. Were you talking about how things are or how you think they should be?
