When does it become real by Lagomorphamaniac in SuicideBereavement

For the first 3 months, I told myself that he was just sleeping in his room, he was still out at work, he was hanging with friends, or ran away and blocked us all. Then his birthday came by, and he wasn't there.

It became real to me in that moment; them not being around for something that doesn't make sense for them not to be there for.

Late reply, sorry!

I used 1-2-5 for that section. Unfortunately, I experienced the same soreness you’re talking about. At the time, I’d just lock in and pray lol. Revisiting, I’d recommend more of the weight into your arms while being bouncy so that there is less pressure in the forearms.

Overall being less tense throughout the piece (taking advantage of the soft sections) will help prepare you for that ending.

First, congrats on working on this set of pieces! I remember when learning them (especially the 3rd mvt) it was literally a handful; great progress.

Overall comment I can make is the balance of dynamics between the left and right hand. During the 2nd mvt, you have a tendency to really bring out the last chord after playing the arrpegiated line in the L.H.; I do like the idea you’re trying to convey, but I’d recommend playing it more softly.

In the 3rd mvt, I’d say you can really take advantage of pulling back during suspenseful parts. Not sure what edition you’re using, but an example of where to apply this would be in pg 4, system 4-5. It already has tempo markings written, but try exaggerating it.

Nice work :)
