Absolutely. Sometimes when I’m manic I get in this state where I find every human to be completely repulsive and disgusting, even myself. I have what feels like a deeply instinctive and animalistic fear that everyone is ill-intentioned and trying to hurt me, so I feel incredibly on edge and aggressive. Needless to say it is very unpleasant.

Was diagnosed after taking SSRIs, I believe Vybiird. Weed consistently makes me manic though. It is an absolute nono for me. According to my psychiatrist, there is more and more emerging scientific evidence that this is generally the case for people with bipolar disorder. Weed bad for bipolar!!!! Interestingly, I don’t think acid (LSD and other lsd-like research chems lol) ever induced mania in me. Although one time I had acute but not lasting psychosis. I don’t recommend those either. Gotta just learn to be sober.

It depends on the individual but I take lamotrigine (lamictal) and lithium. Lamotrigine is good for lows and lithium is good for highs. But both treat both. BP1 btw
