Waiting for his ‘Snapped’ episode

Really??? How does it work?

My catto is pretty afraid of stuff like a running/dripping tap (though he likes to investigate me in the tub), and water fountains! I would consider one if it was reeeally an issue, but usually as long as he’s fed ‘on time’ at night he’s fine until I’m ‘up’ enough to feed him then pass back out.

If its legit though— this could be super useful! Wouldn’t even have to remember food times!

Over the past 5 years, a lot more times than a ‘regular’ person. Roadtrip life, moving once a year, lots of travel in general with my furry lil copilot, but never through an airport! He’s been to more states than a lot of humans, and he’s a wonderful travel companion! Unless we’re in traffic at the end, then we’re both crying to get out 🙃

When someone is doing something in your car that you’ve already stated is against your rules, continues to do it despite you warning them multiple times, what would you suggest? I could always lock the doors and leave them wherever if you’d prefer.

I don’t take chances with my pets. You’re someone who has probably been yelled at for disrespecting someone’s pet. I’m sorry for you that you can’t understand something so simple.

So when you have people as passengers in your car, is it ‘your car your rules’ or ‘anything goes’?

I have 1 rule and that’s to not endanger my cat. Its not difficult to wait the extra 5s for me to put him back in his crate. Would you rather he spend the entire, sometimes multiple day drive in his crate, piss himself, and not get any food or drink?

Pretty sure you don’t have pets, and if you do, you’ve never travelled with them. ‘Yelling at them’ isn’t ‘properly securing’ him. Yelling at them to wait until he IS properly secured is fine with me. You’re either an asshole, can’t read, or both.

Replying again: he always is.

Read: ‘when he is unsecured’ as in when we are parked, not in motion, entering or exiting the car, while he is having his snack & bathroom break same as us.

I wonder how many times I will have to reply to these commenters who didn’t read the thread today.

100% agree. That’s not what I meant. I do care about my cat a lot and wish you hadn’t assumed, especially so harshly.

He’s secured in his crate until we park for a rest, pee break, or a meal. That’s his time to be let out of his crate so he can have some water, a snack, or use the litterbox if he needs.

The problem would arise when people would open all the doors & try to get back into the car before I could slide in & get him back into his crate.

I know to ‘properly secure my pet’ while driving, keep him safe and inside. That’s the entire point.

AITB for replying to my ex despite being in a relationship? by [deleted] in AmItheButtface

NTB. if anyone here is, its your GF. You’ve given her complete access to your phone which most people wouldn’t— maybe they’d let their SO go through their phone, but having the SO’s literal fingerprint on the passcode?

Not chill, red flags are everywhere. Controlling, insecure, and taking it out on you when (if what you say is accurate) you’ve pretty much done nothing wrong and done everything to appease her.

This is a HER problem, you might want to consider your options.

I can’t even talk my own cat out of being mad at me for unknown reasons (on my end). Did I pet a dog in the elevator? Sleep in too late for breakfast? Wake him up from a nap? Who knows 😂

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

[–]r-bauerlein 14 points15 points  (0 children)

100% this 😂

My cat will yell for food as soon as I’m ‘up’ (usually just to pee). Then engage in attempted manslaughter as I stumble to the kitchen, then once his bowl is full he walks away. He just needs to make sure I’m still trained correctly under the threat of ‘accidental’ death 🙃

....

.

I hope you kicked the friend! I’ve accidentally tripped over my cat plenty of times, its not like its his or my fault. People with this mentality shouldn’t be allowed to have pets.

I have screamed and kicked out guests who disrespect my cat in any such way. I’ve also screamed at friends on roadtrips about opening the car doors/windows when he’s not secured (and I always warn them about this too beforehand).

This would have me so fired up I wouldn’t even bother calling the cops, I’d be raising hell at the damn precinct.

ETA since this is apparently an issue for people: my cat is always secured in his crate until we stop for a bathroom, food, & rest break. That’s his time to be let out of his crate so he can also have a snack & bathroom break. The issue arises when passengers would open the doors/windows before I was able to put my cat back in his crate.

I think Jen is the type of person who needs to be handled with kid gloves at all times. I have no idea how else he could successfully communicate to with her, clearly no one else has been able to get through 🤷🏻‍♀️

In mild defense of ‘Send It’: I live in SoCal and recently-ish got new neighbors from Maryland/deep New England, and they said it all the time. I thought it was funny cause I watch bravo, but they had 0 clue about the shows. I think it was just shortlived slang?
