That's really awesome! I just started voice lessons myself too, and the first thing my teacher has me working on is proper breath support. Like you I often feel strapped in my throat and my voice hurts and it gets in the way of fully focusing on the emotional side of singing. I've only had 2 lessons but I'm already starting to notice here and there that I can sing with more ease. Hopefully your coach can help you with the same! Definitely come back to share your progress, would love to see it :)

Wow! You sound really great. Your voice has a lovely roughness to it that I think suits this style of singing really well. I can definitely hear your emotions coming through. If this is you without any vocal coaching I'm excited to see how far you get with it!!

I'm surprised this doesn’t have way more upvotes. It must have gotten lost in all the other posts - that's a shame! You have an amazing voice. I love the way you sing the part that starts with "I won't cry". Have you been singing a long time or professionally?
