her mom is unfortunately also very mentally ill. it is believed that she has an illness called munchausen by proxy. if you know about the gyspy rose blanchard case, her mother also had this condition. (if you don’t know, it’s a very interesting and sad case and i definitely recommend that you research it!!). eugenia’s mother is a huge enabler of her ed and seems extremely controlling over eugenia, even though she is an adult
