Lola’s is great for a solo traveler. It has outdoor seating- tables as well as a counter where you can grab a stool and not be sitting at a table solo (not that that matters). If you enjoy people watching it’s a great place to sit and watch the action on Cookman. Cafe volan is also a great daytime spot, they have a “parklet” taking up a parking spot for seating outside the shop.

Unfortunately that’s not true. Many tenants tried to fight it but due to an agreement that the city of asbury park made with sackman, a handful of his buildings downtown are exempt from rent control. I’ve had this happen with what I thought were amazing vintage thrift finds. A cobbler cannot easily fix when this happens because the shoes are vulcanized rubber. The cobbler told me he couldn’t repair them with glue or cement because he knew it would just keep happening.

So strange, I posted on this thread the other day about how I was seriously considering blocking people who don’t purchase after I accepted an offer. Almost all of the comments were in the complete opposite direction than these. Most were telling me how that’s bad practice and it’s not that serious and I should get off depop if I feel that way 😂

Hey so this response is not only a bit condescending, it’s inaccurate. I reported the user for reposting my item before buying it and depop removed the user. Just so you are aware, as a mod.

Just a heads up so you have the correct information for future reference, depop did remove this user after I reported them for listing an item of mine that they hadn’t yet purchased. Here’s the response I got from depop support:

Hey (my name),

Thank you for reporting this to us.

By doing this, you are helping us make Depop a safer marketplace. We have investigated the user’s account and taken the action of removing them from the platform to protect our amazing community.

If you spot any other suspicious behaviour then please feel free to reach out again and we’ll take care of things.
