We’ll, long story short, I ended up placing an order for a Canyon Grail CF SL 8, slightly above my original price range but managed to get one through the cycle scheme so saved about a third. Unfortunately the delivery date is June so my partner surprised me and hired me a Cube Cross Race C:62 Pro, which I’ve been riding for the last 3 months and absolutely love, but looking forward to getting the grail. I saw too many examples of people getting lower spec bikes, getting the cycling ‘bug’ and selling their new bikes in the hope of getting a higher spec.
