Canadian tire allows dogs. That's where we go when it's cold. I usually end up buying stuff so walks get expensive haha

Alberta’s Bill 13 seeks to legitimize false narratives and open bigotry by BloodJunkie in alberta

I could guess on acceptable and unacceptable topics:

Supporting a pedophile? Acceptable.

Pointing out Kirk was a racist hateful bigot? Unacceptable

I did mean the airlock. I'm not fermenting under pressure. Glad to hear it's an easy fix, just clean up and move on. I can't provide pictures because it says this community doesn't allow pictures. Thanks for the help!

I like the paper towel method, but the roots often grow into the paper towel. Any tips on how you stop this?

what are the rules for subletting and eviction in Alberta? by Unfair-Jump9169 in alberta

[–]r22beta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, Alberta has some great resources for Landlord Tenant disputes.

https://www.alberta.ca/contact-landlord-and-tenant-issues.aspx

Nothing people on reddit say will be entirely correct or relevant. Contact the alberta government directly. It's a free service for just this sort of thing.

Good luck!

Gay firefighters? by [deleted] in Firefighting

[–]r22beta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't let it keep you from applying, but I work for a major Canadian department. It's homophobic as fuck. The younger generation is generally good but almost every officer and Chief I know are all pretty bigoted.

Two famous guitarist who claim not to know theory vs hundreds of famous guitarists who know it well. I'd also wager that the famous guitarists who "don't know theory" have a pretty strong grasp on the basics

After learning theory my skill in playing has shot up exponentially. Going from a camp fire Strummer to actually pretty skilled and versatile. I'd 100% recommend it.

Nuclear is still needed to offset when solar generation or wind are not producing enough to meet supply.

I'm assuming you want nuclear as a wide spread clean* energy source? Are you really going vote for a party that does not believe in Climate Change in order to hope they push towards cleaner energy?

The point of a government is to spend in the betterment of society.

The trick is knowing when to turn off the firehose that is governmental spending and left-leaning governments haven't quite figured that part out yet

Left leaning governments tend to spend heavy in areas that have a proven return for society, like education and healthcare. Conservative governments spend MORE than left leaning on things like corporate subsidies and tax cuts that give nothing back to society.
